My home...my hangout. I love NKHC. If I didn't live in a house I would be renting a stall to live in there. xD This place is brand new. Not even a year old yet :) We are on 450+ acres of land..and already have a 12 stall barn and 6 fields, two arena's and over 20 horses boarded there! Soon we'll have another barn that will have 47 stalls! We will have a cross country course...and a huge jumping field...sometime next year. It growing slowly...but it's coming along great.

(Our pretty metal barn! x3)

I've been at many barns before this one. I started riding at Chocolate Drop. A stable boarding barn down the road from where I live now. I rode a rescue horse named Misty. She was an Arabian. I soon left there..since I didn't really learn anything. And didn't ride for awhile...cuz I never really rode a horse all by myself without being on a lunge line. >>; So we went to Camp Ernest...and went on a trail ride. That was way fun..and I decided to take lessons again. But we found another boarding barn that gave lessons. It was called Brookhaven. I went there and had my first real instructor, Mandy! She was great. I rode Felicity, a sorrel overo paint mare with a blue eye. She looks alot like Hidalgo. Thats why I made a character after her ;) She was so awesome. Anyway afew months passed and this new lady comes to the barn. I found out Mandy was leaving..and I was sad...cuz I really didn't like the other instructor there. But then I heard Diane (the new lady) was going to be the new western instructor there. And she seemed way cool. So I stayed with her. I stopped riding Felicity and started riding Libby...a 5 year old bay tobiano mare.

(Our lovely stalls)

Life was good. I never had so much fun while being instructed by Diane and riding the best and prettiest mare Libby ^^ I went from being a beginner...not knowing how to put a halter on right xD To cantering through trails and alittle galloping. A year or two passed and things started happening between Diane and the owner of the barn. Diane didn't like it there...because of the rules..and decided to leave...and go to another barn named Meadowview so no trouble would start. The last day at Brookhaven was scary. It was when I got bucked off. I think Libby knew I was leaving. And she got angry and decided to buck -.-; That was the last time I rode her. And since then I was afraid to go fast or canter. So when I left with Diane and afew of her other students..we all stayed at Meadowview...a place where Diane kept her gelding Sammy, a 10 year old TB. It was hard for Diane. Not having a good selection of lesson horses...afew boarders at the barn let her use their horse. I rode Sam....I was afraid of him tho...cuz of the whole bucking experiance x.x But after time passed...Sam was a good boy..and kept his canter under control for me when Diane told me to canter him..so I got use to it all again. Soon I was cantering carefree again. And then I decided to try english. I began jumping at Meadowview...and loved it! So..I kept jumping Sam.

A year passed while we stayed at Meadowview. Then one of Diane's students invested in lots of money! They wanted to make a new barn with it :o Diane was so happy and joined in. They rounded up some partners and bought some land in Verona, Kentucky. We bought afew lesson horses and moved there once the barn was up and fields were made. I was excited....everyone was! Now we are in a place where everyone likes eachother and no fights start. We are just one big happy family ^_^ Our place is on the news, in the newspaper..and we even have our own website!! You just gotta check it out ;)
