1. First and foremostly, I am a Christian; a child of God. Saved by the grace and power of God in Jesus Christ. Your decision for Christ is the most important thing you will ever do in your life. It concerns eternety.
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name:" John 1:12
~~~
2. I believe that
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
~~~
3. Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
"And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, [even] in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life." 1 John 5:12
~~~
4. Jesus Christ is always obedient to the Father.
"And He that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please Him." Jonh 8:29
"Though He were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered;" Hebrews 5:8
~~~
5. He came to earth willingly, born of the virgin Mary.
"But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon Him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, He humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross." Philipians 2:7-8
"Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call His name Immanuel." Isaiah 7:4
~~~
6. He humbled Himself to be tempted in all ways that we are.
"Wherefore in all things it behoved Him to be made like unto [His] brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things [pertaining] to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that He Himself hath suffered being tempted, He is able to succour them that are tempted." Hebrews 2:17-18
"For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as [we are, yet] without sin." Hebrews 4:15
~~~
7. He was, always has been, and will be sinless.
"For such an high priest became us, [who is] holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this He did once, when He offered up Himself." Hebrews 7:26-27
~~~
8. He was still God, yet he was in the form of a man. He never ceased to be God and never will. He is the one and only God-man.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:1
~~~
9. Since we could not (neither can, ever) redeem ourselves from our sins and damnation, which surely would doom us, we needed (need) a Savior.
"This [is] a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief." 1 Timothy 1:15
~~~
10. Therefore, He who knew no sin, became sin for us, that we might be free.
"For He hath made Him [to be] sin for us, Who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him." 2 Corinthians 5:21
~~~
11. Jesus (God) had no obligation to save us by any means. God is not answerable to any man. He would have been just regardless. This is why never can one stop thanking and praising Him for His marvelous and Perfect grace!!
"Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to His abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead," 1 Peter 1:3
"The LORD liveth; and blessed [be] my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted." Psalm 18:46
~~~
12. He died for the sins of the world on the cross at Mount Calvary. He became the propitiation for our sins. He paid the price for the sins of the world. He took our place on the cross. The perfect Lamb of God laid down His life for you and I that we might be free.
"And He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for [the sins of] the whole world." I John 2:2
"Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son [to be] the propitiation for our sins." 1 John 4:10
~~~
13. Not only did Jesus Christ die for our sins that we may have eternal through Him, He rose from the grave which held Him for three days, true to His perfect Word!
"And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" 1 Corinthians 15:4
~~~
14. Shortly after He rose from the grave, Christ ascended into Heaven where He is seated at the right hand of God, judging and making intercession for us, His children.
"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; Who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2
~~~
15. We, who are naturally, by the curse of sin, doomed to damnation may be free in Christ Jesus!
"If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed." John 8:36
~~~
16. The message is this; that by the grace of God, through faith in the Person and work of Jesus Christ, we might have everlasting life in Him.
"And this is the will of Him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day." John 6:40
~~~
17. There was and is no other way that that anyone can be saved. I repeat, NO other way!
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6
"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12
~~~
18. We are saved by grace. Not by ourselves or anything that we have done or ever can do right, for in the holy sight of God, our "greatness" is nothing.
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
~~~
19. We could never save ourselves, no matter how many good works we have done. Our only hope is in Christ.
"But we are all as an unclean [thing], and all our righteousnesses [are] as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away." Isaiah 64:6
"Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;" Titus 2:13
~~~
20. I believe in the Trinity. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
"The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, [be] with you all. Amen." 2 Corinthians 13:14
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:" Matthew 28:19
~~~
21. I further believe that the world was created by God in 7 days (or rather, 6 days, the 7th day, He rested)
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Genesis 1:1
"Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended His work which He had made; and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. Genesis 2:1-2
"All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made." John 1:3
~~~
22. I believe that the Bible is the inspired and inerrant word of God, therefore I believe everything that God has said in it.
"Thy word [is] true [from] the beginning: and every one of Thy righteous judgments [endureth] for ever." Psalm 119:160
"All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works." 2 Timothy 3:16-17
~~~
23. God does not, neither can He lie, therefore His Word is the most important book one can ever have or believe. God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.
"God [is] not a man, that He should lie; neither the son of man, that He should repent: hath He said, and shall He not do [it]? or hath He spoken, and shall He not make it good?" Numbers 23:19
"Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." John 8:12
"This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all." 1 John 1:5
~~~
24. Jesus Christ Is coming again for His Children and to judge the earth for her deeds.
"For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." 1 Thessalonians 4:16
"And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is [the book] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works." Revelation 20:12
