Report on 1st social night
On Friday 21st October 2005,
Apologies were received b4 the event from mr bean
The venue was the oddfellows public house in Ramsgate for the 1st social night
As we had a game the next day all the players seemed a bit cautious about drinking too much before a game, unfortunately manager matt wood is from the bryan robson era where a few beers was accepted a bit more readily, and even encouraged. lol
Three games of killer commenced with some obvious sharks lurking in the water, eliott finally worked out which end of the cue to hold and the manager was left to take the first game and take his players hard earned cash
At this stage matt was well on his way to happy times and during the next 2 games of killer was stitched up by the team Baxter, which was nick and jonesy, with wretham and hedgo away playing snooker, the lads settled down and started telling each other how well they were playing( might have been just me)
Anyway as I remember the legend that is nick Baxter chalked up two more wins and earned himself enough to take over his beloved Brentford
Maisey, having come in from playing his playstation at home decided to test his intelligence on the games console in the pub and was helped by all and sundry on see how many words u can make from these letters
Special thanks went to mike lord who had work that evening and picked up a lot of the lads, cheers mike
Anyway all players went to bed early convinced that tara football club were the most invincible side, only messers jones and o’reilly carried on the chinnagins.
Club captain aaron smith and midfield duo masiey and channing , joined later by legendary lordy joined matt at his home for some tactical discussions
Matt wood has very little recollection of the event, but remembers changing t shirts on more than 1 occasion, and dribbling skills being brought up, some frank bough was bought and consumed and everyone was obviously in top spirirts the next day as we put 7 goals past ambrosetti
Thanks to all players who attended the event, lets have another good night on next social event(18th November), which is also ballsacks birthday,
