Welcome to my website! You probably found my website through the Weight Watcher's message boards. I post on the boards under the user name tara311. I spend a lot of time finding support and inspiration on the 200+ board on the WW's site. I joined (actually rejoined) Weight Watcher's on July 17, 2005. I have been on the program in the past, but I am not going to dwell on the my previous weight loss attempts. I know that the Weight Watcher's program works if you work the program. The thing I like about Weight Watcher's is that it is a lifestyle change. It teaches you to eat in moderation. It is a program that you can live with for life.
About me-- my name is Tara. I live in northern NJ with my husband, Dave, and our 7 year old son and 1 year old daughter. I love my family so much! I am ready to lose weight so that I can enjoy a long and healthy life with husband and kids. I want to teach my kids to live a healthy lifestyle so that they don't experience the pain, both emotional and physical, that I have endured for most of my 32 years. My sister took this horrible before picture for me. We had taken our kids to the lake for the day and I figured it was a great opportunity to take a before picture that would motivate me to stay on track. Boy was I right! This is probably the worst picture of me I have ever seen! I'm posting it here as a visual promise to myself. I am taking control of my life and saying goodbye to the heavy and sad woman in this picture.
January 11, 2006-- I have now been on program for nearly 6 months. I can honestly say that I feel like I am looking at a stranger when I look at this picture. I don't think my physical self looks different yet, but I feel so much better now than I ever have. The person in this picture had no hope. I really thought that I was destined to live my life in a body I was unhappy with, missing out on so many things. Now I feel such hope and promise. I know I can achieve things if I work hard and that is so empowering!!! Thank God for Weight Watchers and all of the people who have supported me in this journey!
