Does the picture above evoke some kind of emotion when you look at it? Most of the time, I would say this
picture brings out a positive emotion of some kind. Feeling calm, relaxed, content, peaceful or even powerful
might be typical responses. I took this picture on a trip out West and I thought it was a great example of mother
nature at her best.
Unfortunately, life does not always dish out positive emotions. Now, lets look at the other side of the emotional spectrum...
Do you see the jumbled list of emotions below? I have arranged them in this order on purpose.
Have you ever experienced any of the following?
ANXIETY ? DEPRESSION ?ANGER ?
FRUSTRATION ? EMBARRASSMENT ?
SADNESS ? GRIEF ? APATHY ?
DISAPPOINTMENT ? STRESS ?
The truth is we all have experienced many of them. As you can see above, the colors indicate there is an entire spectrum of emotions. They are not all the same, we cannot predict what order they will come in, they vary in intensity and some emotions are closer to each other. They may even join forces and stack up against us. As a result, sometimes it is difficult to keep our emotions in balance and suddenly we yell at someone from out the blue or start crying for no apparent reason. Emotions are part of life and we need to deal with them constructively.
By now, you have probably noticed that when you look at the emotions above, you can see there is something missing. Despite the various colors, the positive emotions are not included. The emotions listed above can and will, in certain situations, put undue stress on ourselves. What can we do to counteract them?
That is what I am going to share with you...a POWERFUL method to turn the tide so you can experience more of the positive emotions that are missing above and can improve your life and those around you.

Years ago, I was sitting in a workshop where the presenter (Jim) introduced me to a technique known as EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique. 3 years ago, he once thought it was a joke as the above question and answer seem to indicate. During that session, my eyes were wide open and I realized EFT was no joke and can easily improve your health.
I remember that day clearly since I arrived late and was offered a front row seat for my tardiness. I was a bit uncomfortable and skeptical as well. However, as time went on, I grew more infatuated with the idea of EFT and after a while, I could have sat on a rock and I would have been content. This concept literally blew me away. It was so different from what I had learned.
That night, there was a man there who had lost his sister several years ago in a car accident. He explained that he was so close to her and that he could not stop thinking about her even after two plus years. She invaded his thoughts daily and simply could not let go. He further explained that his grief was affecting his life in a negative way and he wanted relief.
Jim (presenter) explained to our group about EFT and offered us to give it a try. There were about 6 folks that used the technique to attempt to help them with some form of emotional disturbance. The basic idea was to use EFT to reduce or eliminate an emotional problem by focusing on the emotion and altering your perception by tapping on your body (full explanation later).
After several sessions of EFT, about 5-10 minutes, the man who had lost his sister, had reduced his anxiety level from a 10 (highest level of anxiety) to a 2 which is the lower end of the anxiety scale. At this point, he was feeling quite a bit of relief and then Jim attempted to bring his anxiety level down further.
What I witnessed next astonished me and made me a believer in EFT.
After Jim used a final technique on the man, he had a reaction I will never forget. All of a sudden, he crouched down in his chair throwing this arms up and looking around seemingly scared. We all asked him if he was alright since he was clearly not himself. He assured us he was OK and explained that his burden had been lifted and that we did not understand. He had felt his sister's presence ever since they were kids and she was always part of him. Now, with the help of EFT, he symbolically let her go and the "weight" was off his shoulders. He shared with us he still remembered her and would always miss her but the smile on his face and his overall body language spoke of relief. I later spoke to another man who was a scientist by nature and initially was extremely skeptical. He shared with me that he wanted to discredit EFT but even after the workshop had concluded his anxiety level was still significantly lower which he could not explain. The evening left me astonished and I was instantly hooked on EFT. I was highly motivated to find out more information on Emotional Freedom Technique....a form of Creative Health.
