Once in the community farm Aliyah and all were met by six elderly
women and six elderly men wearing mixed emotions on their face.
“Ekeic, it is a surprise to see you out here meeting a weary group of
travelers that come to aid you in protecting the island that is.” Ang broke
from the crowd and nearly crushed the tiny man in his arms.
“Angel of the High Vigor, it is always nice to see you. Now please let
me breath.” Ekeic tried to break free.
“Oh, yeah, breathing is important. You remember the High Vigor
Zahimenus don’t you?” Ang stepped back and waved his arm toward
Aliyah who was bowing in respect.
“Yes, I remember this soul and each time it visits there is always a
problem that needs addressing.” Ekeic gave a smirk and straighten his
glasses that were pushed up on his forehead.
“That is because I was design by our God to maintain light while it
spread through the darkness.” Aliyah took a step forward while placing
her palm toward the others instructing them to stay put. “Once again I
bring allies as I ask for your alliance.”
The other elders furled their brows at the Seven Women of the Future
knowing not if trouble or relief was standing before them. When
Ruhamah began to speak on behalf of everyone Abigail cleared her throat
causing the elders to shift their attention to her and off anything that
Ruhamah was about to say. Ruhamah stepped back and looked at Selena.
“I will ask of you only one thing Ekeic,” Aliyah was now on one knee,
thankful that Abigail had intervened. “Will you please escort me to the
Royal Palace?”
“I guess I have no choice since your former self has taken rank in
Semyaze’s army.” Ekeic was weary.
“Once again Spellman has chosen his side to defend, as I. I’m certain
that King Armeavis De Lire understand this.”
“I have a request also, Ekeic.” Ang raised his eyebrow in response to
Aliyah’s quick rising eyebrow of concern. “Will you please allow me and
the Seven Women of the Future to use the underground tunnel leading to

the reserves? Savantee will give them further instructions on the art of war
here on Manu Island.”
“I think that would be best.” One of the elderly women spoke.
“I was hoping that you would. To save time I will lead the women to
the storehouse where we will bunk for the night and leave first thing in the
morning.”
“This sounds good to me.” Aliyah rose and walked back over to where
her team was standing. In a whisper she gave the order. “Go with Ang and
listen to Savantee she may be old but she is still a great teacher. Ang I need
you to return as soon as they are in her care.”
“We want to help you state your case before—” Ruhamah’s voice was
barely above a whisper.
“—the last time I brought someone with me to help state my case we
ended up betraying the royal family. Please, do as I say and I will see you
before you leave in the morning.”
That was it Aliyah turned and joined Ekeic and the elders. As they
walked off Selena made certain that the other women knew how
disappointed she was that they weren’t going to meet with King. Ang held
his tongue and made certain his focus was on getting to the storehouse;
there his true emotions would not be so evident.
The night was not restful for anyone. Each had personal issues
constantly running through their minds and hearts. When the sun
finally rose each promised that they would do their best to follow the
wishes of God as best they could interrupt them. None had any idea of
what road laid before them. The Seven Women of the Future took to
the tunnels without waiting for Aliyah to send them off. Ang reported
why as soon as Aliyah finished dressing in the clothing provided by the
Bethan elders. Hearing that the women went without her was a blessing
in disguise because she was not in the mood to deal with a group of
women that thought that they were traveling with her to teach instead
of learn.
Stepping outside of her chambers Ekeic was waiting with worry
etched on his face. “Aliyah, I will not lie and state that I feel no change in
you and it is because of this deep change of understanding and love that
I am taking you to the king. Nor can I remain silent like I did last time and

not state that some of those traveling with you carry an identical energy
to that which Spellman carried when he was by your side.”
“I know Ekeic, just as you know it’s what comes with power and
youth. Yet I am not the same person. I will not be tricked into attempting
to be or have more than what is given to me by God. I can handle them,
they may not know it. But I do and Ang does and as a matter of fact his
taking them away from here was His way of giving me the space needed
to stand in the truth.”
“Very well then, I trusted you when you first came with the desire to
kill and steal I will trust you now as you stand filled with the desire to
protect and serve.”
Ekeic and Aliyah began their walk to the Royal place nestled on top of
a hill as two good friends. Each concerned about what tomorrow would
look like for the entire island of Manu. They knew that the king’s decision
would pre-stage Aliyah as she went before the remaining leaders of Manu
Island asking for their help. All would be swayed by the decision of the
man that convinced them to take Daiphon for his word during the last
time the island was engulfed in fear.
The walk to the well built castle under the year round heat was quick
due to the urgency held in their hearts. When Aliyah finally was able to see
the Star of David that was mounted on the highest location of the
building her stomach began to turn and received quick flashback
snapshots of the last time she and Ekeic walked this path. Regret took a
hold of her and all she could do was call out to Jesus and ask that he
blessed her with some of the strength he used to allow his arrest at the
Garden of Gethsemane.
Prayer was coming from the lips of both and as they stood before the
steel door of the main entrance. Ekeic looked over to Aliyah and told her
that she was blessed and because of her willingness to face her actions of
yesterday so were all on the island and planet. The gray door began to
move and the pair stepped back waiting for the guards that would lead
them to the throne room.
When the door stopped they were surprised to see Armeavis De Lire
himself standing with open arms and a smile of relief on his face.
“She who is Daiphon no more, I have been waiting for your arrival

since God came and told me that you would aid in the stopping of
Spellman and the one which is too young to understand. Please, come and
tell me what it is that you need.” The king’s smile was inviting and sincere
as where the queen, princes, princesses and royal court that stood behind
him.
Everyone knew that the tide had turned with her walking up the hill
trudging through her guilt of yesterday in order to protect those of
tomorrow. As the trumpet blew announcing to all that Aliyah Geode was
stepping into the home of the king of the City of Beth, her heart became
filled with relief and appreciation. She walked forward stopping just
beyond the doorway. As her hosts looked up at her, she stood still
allowing the steel door to slam.
