 SHARON MARSCHMAN

A Chicago native, Sharon has studied dance with many renowned artists including ballet with Warren Conover, Anida Sadala, and Barute Barodicaite and Randall Newsome; jazz with Joel Hall, Frank Chavez, Wilfredo Rivera, James Kelly, Ginger Farley, and Claire Bataille. She has studied tap with such masters as Bruce Stegmann, Lane Alexander, Dianne Walker, Robert Reed, and Savion Glover.

 

She is very active in the dance community and has received many first place and national awards for her choreography. She has performed in the Lou Conte Choreography Project in '95 and '96, and in '99 she performed in a choreography project for Joel Hall. In 1998 she was asked to perform for Cholly Atkins in honor of him at the St. Louis Tap Festival. She is the former Artistic Director of Knock on Wood Tap Company and performed in the 2000 Easter Seals Telethon and Chicago's National Tap Dance Day Celebration in 2001.   She choreographed and performed a pre-show at the Aditorium Theater for Bea Arthur in Strike Up The Band. Some of her musical theater performances include "A Chorus Line", "Fiddler On The Roof", "Bye Bye Birdie", and "Singing in the Rain". She has appeared dancing on "The Bozo Show" and modeling for Leo's Costume Catalogue. Savion Glover of "Jelly's Last Jam" and "Bring in Da Noise" named her top young female tap dancer in the Chicagoland area.

 

Sharon has taught for many studios and workshops for school districts in the Chicago and New York area.  Many of Sharon's students have gone on to dance in companies across the US and in Los Angeles and New York.    

        

NICK GONZALEZ

Nick Gonzalez is a New York native, born and raised in Brooklyn. He started performing at the age of nine and has been entertaining ever since. He has most recently been seen in R&B Recording Artist Usher’s latest video “Yeah” ripping up the dance floor along side Usher. Nick has also traveled the globe with Savion Glover’s “ Bring in da noise and Bring in the funk.  

Nick is a professionally trained in various forms of Latin Dance including Salsa and flamenco. He is also skilled in Irish dancing, jazz, tap and ballet. Nick’s training includes some of the “best on the business,” including Wade Robinson, Savion Glover, Gregory Hines, Homer Bryant, Jimmy Payne, Jr., Usher, Dave Scott, Brittney Spears, De La Soul, REDMAN, Fat Joe and Loon. 

Nick is a graduate of Columbia College, where he studied as a dance major. Nick is also the director of Throw Down Entertainment. This company consists of the inner city kids ranging in age of 9-21 from the North Side of Chicago. The purpose of the organization is to promote the arts and fulfill the dreams of the entertainers no matter what you background.  

Nick is an Energetic, entertaining, creative instructor and performer that believes that self _expression through dance is an important part of life.
