Welcome to the Texas A&M Go Club! Formed in the Fall semester of 2006, the Texas A&M Go Club is dedicated to exposing the game of Go to western culture as well as improving our understanding of the game, and to have fun in the process. Don't know what Go is? Check out this for a brief summary of how to play, however the best way to learn is to come to the meetings. ==FIRST MEETING THIS FRIDAY (18th) @ BARNES&NOBLE @ 7:00 PM== Go at Barnes & Noble is going great. Hope to see everyone there!
1/1/08 - HAPPY NEW YEAR! Working out details with B&N. 8/25/07 - First meeting went well! We now have a game record database found here. Also, updated media section with pictures. 8/15/07 - Good news! Barnes & Noble will let us play in their store!! We will get our own corner of the building with tables, chairs, and a nifty little "B&N welcomes..." sign! This should be good for publicity, plus no more parking issues. 8/14/07 - Gentlemen... 8/13/07 - Site now on freewebs...and hopefully for good. Added HTML version of recording sheet for space purposes. 10/14/06 - Online Tournament - Oct 21 on KGS (Kiseido Go Server - see links). E-mail me if you want to participate. Also, this website is now on resnet (previously on a private domain). 9/29/06 - Updated website. Check out all the sections! (complete with downlaods) 9/25/06 - We made it to the AGA's (American Go Association) newsletter. I'll try to print out a copy and bring it to the next meeting. One of the Grad students, mentioned in news segment below, responded but lives in Houston. He gave us his support, though. Also, Updated site again. Check out the mouseovers! (over the buttons). 9/22/06 - Updated web site. Will continue working on it. Ross found some people on the AGA site that live in College Station, so we might have a few more players if we are lucky. 9/10/06 - First official meeting of the Go club. We had an outstanding turnout! Thanks to everyone who showed up and brought boards. Looks like it'll be a great semester for Go.
Site is under construction. Special thanks goes to everyone who helped me with this, as I have no idea what I'm doing in HTML. If you have any questions/comments, e-mail me at jared412@tamu.edu . Site hosted by FreeWebs.com. Get your own Free Website now!
