Hi Sian
We live in NSW Australia. We are about to realise a dream of many years and purchase our first Ridgeback, a girl. All being well the puppies will be ready on 23 Jan 2010. We have owned many dogs over many years, all strays and rescues, but are now in a position to own our first Ridgeback and are very excited.
Your web site is wonderful - Madumbe & Sabrina - magnificent dogs. It's pleasing to realise that somewhere, Ridgebacks are being bred 'old style' and are doing what they were bred to do. I also absolutely love the lighter blonde colour. You just don't see them here and I don't know how long I would have to search and wait to find a puppy with the very light wheaten coat. It seems to be that dark wheaten does better in the showring - here anyway. Thanks for such an entertaining and informative web site. Will be visiting again.
