I have just posted the tentative schedule for the Fall Semester classes at the River Road Unitarian Universalist Congregation www.rruuc.org, which will begin on Tuesday, September 15, 2009. The following are the designated charities for next semester.
Friends of Ramana's Garden www.friendsramanasgarden.org is a non-profit charity established in 2005 to support Prabhavati Dwabbha's efforts in running a wonderful school near Rishikesh in northern India for destitute children. Children considered untouchables that were abused and abandoned are given shelter, food, a chance to thrive and be educated.

Insight Meditation Community of Washington www.imcw.org meets every Wednesday evening at the River Road Unitarian Congregation www.rruuc.org. Tara Brach's guided meditation starts at 7:30pm and runs until 9:00pm. They get about 200 people each week so get there a little early for a better parking spot.
The Be You Bi Yu Spa www.beyouspa.com has weekly NIA classes taught by Lisa Geddings as well regular Singing Bowl sessions and a new Tuesday evening Qigong class.
