Originally formed in 1970 and unlike many clubs who evolve with changing names, the Stax icon has remained.
During the earlier part of the Seventies, Stax members were in attendance at every northern rally and many in the south.

The official 'club' as such split in 1978 but the 'Mod Revival' sparked the interest of a younger element.
Former members and new enthusiasts from the town continued to ride with other clubs for the following decade.

A new generation re-lit the Taddy flame again formerly in 1988 and even fought to regain the 'Stax' name from a southern club.
They have been well known faces at rallies and events countrywide since - always managing representation at nationals north, south, east & west.
The long-running annual 'do' continues to be one of the highlights of the New Year and clubs from all over the North of England continue to make this part of their social calendar.

The tradition continued into 2009 with another storming night in February at the Riley Smith Hall, celebrating the 21st year since reforming.
Tad Stax pride themselves on showing a presence at every national rally, regularly attending other club do's and supporting the ever popular scootering scene. There's life outside Yorkshire we've found! Another hectic year already underway...
We all look forward to another busy Summer coast to coast and hope to see all our friends again during 2009.
