Team Philosophy/Long Term Goal
To maintain a competitive, continuously improving paintball team consisting of players that value sportsmanship, have a desire to win, and represent themselves and the team’s sponsors in the best possible manner.
General Team History
The team was originally formed in 2003 as a factory team for a paintball store in
In 2004, the team decided to move into the 5 man format, choosing to compete in the area’s regional tournament series the New England Paintball League (NEPL) and P&L Paintball League (P&L). At the beginning of the season the team picked up its first major sponsor as refs for the Massachusetts Paintball League (MPL). During the 2004 season, the team exceeded expectations by making the playoffs in all of the events entered, including second and third place at the P&L.
2005 was an up and down year for the team. The 5 man roster was set at the beginning of the year and did not change all season. Results for the team varied, the first event brought a third place finish out of 41 teams. By the end of the year, Team 119 Paintball was in seventh place and ready to dominate the division next year. The team also picked up two more sponsors during the 2005 season, Granite State Paintball and Planet Paintball (both local fields, one outdoor and one indoor).
The 2006 season brought a name change for the team. Our title sponsor 119 Paintball closed its doors and the team took on the name Synergy. It didn’t take long for the name to be well-known throughout the 5 man division, as the team took first place in the first event of the year. Building off of a strong start the team made the playoffs every event and added two second place finishes. For the season series, Synergy placed second out of 49 teams and missed first place by less then a point.
