How you can help our abandoned pets
Sydney Pet Rescue & Adoption has found loving homes for lots of abandoned pets. This has not been possible without the help of our dedicated team of volunteers. Can you help us to save even more lives?
Summer is kitten season and many cute fluffy kittens are given as gifts only to be dumped, once they are no longer so cute, on the streets or at the pounds to be put to death.
Christmas & New Year see lots of kittens and cute puppies given as gifts with the same results..
We are always desperate for more foster carers so we can rescue more of these innocents from certain death.
Please read below for lots of different ways that you can help.

Quality Kitten food especially is needed as we always have lots of kittens in care.
Quality cat and dog food, dry and tinned
Flea/worm treatment for cats/dogs/kittens
Heartworm tablets for dogs
Quality Litter e.g. Breeders Choice, OzPet
Litter scoops. litter boxes -covered or open
Pet Carry boxes
Holding pens for newborn kittens with mums.
Basket/box/beds to sleep in
Food and water bowls
Bedding
Old Towels
Kennels
Collars, leads and harnesses for dogs and cats
Toys (e.g. for cats- ping pong balls, fabric mice, foil balls – No toys with parts that could be chewed off and swallowed)
Pre-loved items in good condition are very welcome.
We can organise a pick up if you are unable to deliver to us.

Can you help us at our Adoption day displays for a couple of hours?
We hold these at Pet Barn, 246 Railway Pde Kogarah, and Pet Barn 91 Boundary Rd, Peakhurst, on saturdays from 10am till 2pm and occasionally at street fairs and fetes.
We need volunteers to be there to answer questions, give out forms, & watch over the cats/kittens on display. You would be with one of our existing volunteers to learn the ropes and only for 2hrs at a time.

Do you have a car? Can you transport a pet?
We need help in collecting rescued pets from pounds, moving them between foster carers and to/from our Adoption displays at Pet Barn Kogarah and other locations.

Can you sell fundraiser chocolates to help us raise funds?
