Special Person Needed, to Foster Special Boy, Caesar

Our dear Staffy boy Caesar has been going through cancer treatment. He had surgery in August 2016. He is well, and his prognosis is for remission or a cure. He is on track to achieve this goal. All Caesar’s tests last week were clear. He has 6 months of treatment remaining. He is an excellent patient, and takes his tablets easily. Caesar has a loving nature, and is a very good boy, and loved by all who know him.
We are now looking for a special person who is able to foster  Caesar, and to support him on the next part of his journey to full recovery.

Could you be Caesar’s Special Someone?

We are seeking someone with dog experience, ideally someone who has no other dogs, cats or small animals, and someone who has time to take Caesar for a walk each day. Staffy experience would be ideal, but not essential. A fully fenced yard and lockable gate is essential. Excellent foster support provided. Short term and long term care options could be helpful.

If you can’t foster but would like to support Caesar with a tax deductible donation towards his treatment or boarding, you can make a tax deductible donation at

IZZY small, gentle mum to TC
Foster carer needed

Izzy is a tiny little short-haired dark tortoiseshell with big green eyes and a fiery orange stripe down her nose. She is a delicate and softly spoken little thing who enjoys being with people. While she can be a little timid with new people she quickly warms up to everyone and loves a good pat, cuddle and ear scratch.

Foster carer needed

His current carer says - Domino is an incredibly affectionate and placid cat. He adores company and likes to be cuddled and stroked.  He has a gorgeous soft, long and fluffy coat and appreciates a brush once a week. He has the calmest temperament of any cat that I have met and likes to follow you everywhere you go. At bed time he walks himself to his bedroom and waits anxiously to be tucked in and kissed good night. He is best suited for a family who is happy to pay him attention and in return will be by your side and be a beautiful companion.

Domino seems to have the traits of a Turkish Van, as you can see from this article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkish_Van

Melody was in boarding for well over a year. Melody is currently out of boarding but needs to move to an experienced carer where she can be the only pet. and who can give her one on one attention. Below is her story

Dec 2014- Hello, my name's MELODY. I'm a special needs pussy cat, and I've been in long term emergency boarding for such a long time, patiently waiting for my turn to have a foster family, or forever home. I only have one wish for Christmas...someone to give me a chance to be their foster pet, even if only  for a while. I would love to be part of family. My family, SPRA love me and they worry about me being in boarding so long.  Can you help me?

This is my story....I'm a pretty blue and white girl born approx 2007. Sydney Pet Rescue and Adoption took me into foster care  when my family planned to take me to the pound, when they were moving to the US.
SPRA took me in because they knew that being a special needs pussy cat, I would have been put to sleep at the pound straight away. Lots of people don't realize, but pets surrendered to the pound by their owners can be put to sleep straight away. Hard to believe..but that's what happens. Anyway..I was one of the lucky ones. At the time my family surrendered me, I was very overweight and a sad pussy cat. Sydney Pet Rescue thinks that I was likely a cruelty case. It took a long time, with kindness and patience from my foster carers, to help me learn to trust people, and for me to get down to my ideal weight, but I did!

We learned that I am one of those pussy cats that prefers to be an only cat, though I might be ok with one other laid back pussy cat. We also learned that the sort of home or foster home that I do best in is a quiet patient caring home, without children or other pets, though one other laid back pussycat might be ok too. Because of my special needs, it's been so hard for me to find just the right foster home or forever home. I did really well with my last foster carer, and I showed that I have a sweet affectionate side. I used to love to sit beside my last foster carer on the sofa or especially to roll about on my lambswool and to play with my mouse. I was happy and my confidence really grew when I was with her.

I had to go into emergency boarding at Puss n Boots more than a year ago when she couldn't look after me anymore. Puss n Boots have taken excellent care of me, but I've been waiting such a long time for my turn to have a foster carer or forever home. I just know there's a foster home or forever home for me...somewhere. If you are an experienced cat carer and have room in your heart, and your life for a little girl like me, even if only for a while, please contact my family, Sydney Pet Rescue & Adoption on 1300 455 390 for more information Thank you for reading my story. Love from Melody x
PS. I come with a hamper of Goodies and good support from my family SPRA.
PPS. Even if you can't take me, if you could take one of SPRA's other foster cats, that might free up a space with an experienced foster carer for me. I'll keep my paws crossed. :)

The cruelty of the live export trade starts long before Australian animals reach their overseas destination.
Did you know animals exported live can spend over 30 days on board ships in cramped conditions and are forced to endure extreme temperature hikes as they travel from our winter to the northern hemisphere summer?
This is your chance to share the message: Australian animals don?t have to suffer these long, cruel journeys.

Make sure everyone knows the real live export story by using these hashtags online:

#MeatNotLive #EndLiveExport

Tell your friends, family and social media networks about the real live export story and the benefits of ending live exports by simply sharing our informative infographics. Encourage them to share it too so that everyone gets the real story about live export.
