We have a few guidelines for Force Sensitive characters.
Don't want to play a Force Sensitive character? Then you can ignore this and complete the rest of the form.

If you are a Jedi Youngling you may try to attract a Master immediately after joining, but your Master must be played by another writer (this fosters bonds between writers). If your character turns 13 before being taken as an Apprentice, they will be sent to one of the Jedi Service Corps.
If you are a Jedi Knight you must take an Apprentice within your first RL month, and your Apprentice must be played by another writer (this fosters bonds between writers).

If you are a Sith Cultist may try to attract a Sith Lord as your Master immediately after joining but your Master must be played by another writer (this fosters bonds between writers). You have no Jedi background (if you want to play a Jedi-turned-Sith, apply for a Jedi Youngling)
If you are a Sith Lord, you are not just a user of the Dark Side, but an adherent to the religion and codes of the Sith as passed down by the Sith Holocrons. Again, Sith Lords must take a Sith Apprentice and/or Dark Side Adept (explained below) within your first RL month, and they must be played by another writer (this fosters bonds between writers). You may train multiple Adepts at once, but only one Apprentice at a time.

Dark Jedi and Grey Jedi are the most common submissions we get, and they are often the most difficult characters to write with, too. Mostly because these types of characters tend to appear out of the ether, fully trained, fully grown, with no connections to any other characters, and no real motivation to interact with any of them (or for another character to seek them out). And we'd like to avoid that. So if you'd like to play a Dark or Grey Jedi, apply for a Jedi Youngling and work through their transition over time.

"Corellian Jedi" are nearly unique to this RPG, and are based on cannon Star Wars novels written before the prequels came out. Corellian Jedi marry, have children and belong to an extended biological families. They have differing burial and philosophical practices than typical Jedi, and also rarely if ever leave the Corellian System once they become Knights.

Lets make this easy: if you want your character to eventually become a Jedi, then apply for a Jedi Youngling. However, if you want to play some other type of Force-sensitive character, the sky is the limit. But you must acquire some kind of teacher (played by another writer) if you ever want your character's Force powers to progress past vague. mostly useless feelings and insights.
