Police Officer Safety Training
The video below is of Police arresting a suspect who is wanted for drugs offences. The Officers struggle to control the man and leave his 'mate' unchecked and able to attack them. In addition to this watch closely 1.10 mark where one of the officers sprayed the suspect and his partner in the face with CS Spray!! The Officers are then unable to get control of the suspects arms and physically fight him to get control with no avail. We offer training for Police Officers in Self-Defence, Control and Restraint and Controlling a violent person on the ground; These ensure Police Officers are able to gain control quickly, Effectivly but above all Safely to their selves, the suspect and the public.
This video shocks me as I can not see why our Police should be placed at such risk. The training we offer is full on and can be adapted by any officer regardless of size. The techniques used are from Aikido (Wrist and joint Locks), Judo (Holds and Arm Locks) and Jiu Jitsu Grappling (Everything from the above arts with pressure point control).
Classes / Course include:
Proper Ground Control
Effective Holds
Pressure Point Applications
Wrist and Arm Locks that enable the offender to be controlled effectively
Persuasive tactics (pain compliance)
Defending yourself whilst on the ground
Single Officer and Multiple Officer Controls
Buddying for your colleague whilst they are restraining the suspect
All techniques are non fatal and do not result in permeant harm or leave the suspect with any long term damage.
We are offering all Police Officers (and PCSOs*) courses and classes at a 50% reduction every month of the year; Just produce your warrant card at any class or course to get these savings.
Why not arrange for Sensei Chastell to train yourself and a group of fellow officers at time that suits you? (You can have the course at your training centre or a Local Sports club with suitable matting).
