The Rebirth of the Galaxy

 

          One-hundred years after the Yuzhaan Vong invasion was stopped, the galaxy is in the process of rebuilding.  Coruscant has been mostly rebuilt, but aside from the repair of some of the crumbling multiple-mile high skyscrapers, there is still much to fix, and it’s beginning to look like Nar Shadaa, and there is still the fact that the planet much closer to the sun.

          A new ruler has been voted to the head of the bureaucracy, but by some, who have studied the history of the galaxy and the rise of the Empire, are skeptical that this new leader is too weak.  Another candidate, the heir to an entire planetary system, was terminated from the ballot for being accused of hiring mercenaries to kill off the other candidates, and only failed in killing two others, one who became the leader of the bureaucracy, the other the commander of an army.

A mercenary army has recently arisen, under the leadership of a famous professional bounty hunter, in an ancient suit of Mandalorian Armor, who also has somehow acquired a floor model from an abandoned Kuat Systems Firespray-class pursuit special.  He and some relatives are currently resting aboard one of many of the mercenary fleet’s Star Destroyers, The Suubatar, orbiting the capital planet Coruscant, awaiting the arrival of a transmission from a friend in the senate that will decide whether a war of hired soldiers will commence…
