Southdale Fairview Weight Loss Support Group
We are a formed group who are meeting to share experiences, education resources, encouragement and mutual assistance to those who have had weight loss surgery as well as those scheduled for surgery. Those considering surgery are also welcome to come. The meetings are facilitated by Donna Ziemer-Ditzel-Nurse Educator. All ideas and comments are appreciated!! We meet at Fairview Southdale hospital, 6401 France Ave. So. Edina, MN on the lower level in the Au Fait Nursing Education Room every third Wednesday of each month starting at 6:00 PM-7:30 PM.
Our next meeting is on Wednesday August 19th- If you are interested in a clothing swap-bring some clothes to change out. We will also be just using our time to talk and learn from one another.
Wednesday September 16th- Physical Therapy will be providing exercise tips and some fun ideas to keep us moving!
Wednesday October 21st- Julia Reid, PhD LP, Clinical Psychologist from Fairview Counseling Center will be speaking-topic will be defined as the date approaches.
Wednesday November 18th- Dr. Richard H. Tholen, MD., F.A.C.S. will provide information re: plastic surgery options post- operatively.
Wednesday December 16th- Annual Holiday Gathering: Bring a dish to pass if you like. Beverages and tableware will be provided : )
