Southdale Fairview Weight Loss Support Group
We are a formed group who are meeting to share experiences, education resources, encouragement and mutual assistance to those who have had weight loss surgery as well as those scheduled for surgery. Those considering surgery are also welcome to come. The meetings are facilitated by Donna Ziemer-Ditzel-Nurse Educator. All ideas and comments are appreciated!! We meet at Fairview Southdale hospital, 6401 France Ave. So. Edina, MN on the lower level in the Au Fait Nursing Education Room every third Wednesday of each month starting at 6:00 PM-7:30 PM.
Our next meeting is on Wednesday April 15th- Bring in your favorite recipe to share-you may also bring a dish to pass. Even protein bars or drinks if you desire!
Wednesday May 20th- Janelle Melgeorge Anderson will be available to discuss nutrition.
Wednesday June 17th- Let's hear from our pharmacists regaarding medications that are acceptable- bring questions that you may have as well.
Wednesday July 15th- Annual picnic in the AuFait Room( : Bring a dish to pass if you like. Come and share some good conversation with former and future patients. Beverages and tableware provided.
Wednesday August 19th- If you are interestd in a clothing swap, bring some clothes to change out. We will also be just using some time to talk and learn from one another.
Wednesday September 16th- Physical Therapy will be providing exercise tips and some fun ideas to keep us moving!
