Success With Runners on Base (SWiRB) is a stat that shows how well each player does batting with runners on base. SWiRB takes into account RBI, Grounding Into Double-Plays, Sacrifice Flies, and Strikeouts. The perfect hitter with runners on base drives in lots of runs, hits sacrifice flies most of the time when given the opportunity, rarely grounds into double plays, and doesn't strike out much.
The rating system for SWiRB is this:
10.000+ is excellent, and only a few players can do it each year
7.000 to 9.999 is a great score that will usually put a player in the Top 25
4.000 to 6.999 is a good score; most teams have at least one player that reached at least 4.000
3.000 to 3.999 is slightly above average
1.500 to 2.999 is about average
1.000 to 1.499 is slightly below average
Under 1.000 is a bad score
Only players with at least 200 at bats are eligible. Players with less than 200 at bats will often have misleading SWiRB scores.
