DISPLAYS 2007

On February 17th we were back at Westonbirt Arboretum for their very popular "Dog Days" event.

We decided to again run a Pairs competition and friends from other local teams stepped in to help.  The pairings were very well matched, and the exciting final was again won by Ollie and Nellie, with Rosie and Guinness only a fraction behind in 2nd place!

We even had excellent coverage on HTV West news that night. So we are now "As Seen On TV"!!

On Saturday June 24th, we were back at Stoke Lodge School.  The weather stayed dry for the afternoon, so we were able to go ahead.

We encouraged our beginners to take part, which they did. Trudy and Grace, Sue and Daz, Kathryn and Poppy and Emily and Jet showed how we start our training without being put off by their surroundings or the people watching!

We then ran Ollie and Grace as one pair and Loki and Lottie as the other pair to give some idea of flyball  racing.

It all went very well and the spectators appeared to enjoy it very much.

August 11th saw us at Seend Fete for our next display.  There was a large crowd watching and they got into the spirit of things, cheering the dogs on.

Lottie got quite a fan club - being the smallest dog there, but all the dogs had plenty of admirers and got lots of cuddles.

We were booked to give two displays, but due to things running late from the beginning, we had our second half cancelled.

Our next display is on September 2nd at Bath Dogs Home.

DISPLAYS 2006

OUR FIRST DISPLAY
We have the honour of being one of the few BFA registered team to give a demonstration of flyball at a Kennel Club event!

We performed at Westonbirt Aboretum on February 18th 2006.

They were very impressed with our display, and have asked us back again next year.

We were invited in June to give a display at Stoke Lodge Primary School, North Bristol. It went very well and the children enjoyed taking part as well.

In August, we were invited to give a display in Bridgewater by the local Dog Wardens. For this event we changed our display format, so had to borrow some dogs from another team.  Luckily they were free so we gave the audience a taste of flyball racing by giving a pairs competition, won by Ollie and Nellie.

In October, we were invited down to Cornwall to give a display and "Have A Go" session on the beautiful Watergate Beach.  Sadly, once we got there and set up, the heavens opened and as the time drew closer, it was obvious that the sand was to dangerous for the dogs to run on.
