Warning: This is a very long blog, if you want to just read the important news then skip to the fourth paragraph.
Last Sunday, I spend the whole day at the theme park. The weather turned out great, and even though it was pretty hot, we got refreshed (I'll tell you the details later :P) I went with my brother and four other friends. I thought six was a perfect number because you could have pairs and groups of 3 or 6. That way no one would be left out. Then I began to think (morning before I went to theme park), I would probably be stuck with my brother, since my friends would probably pair up with each other. Of course I could understand because it would be kind of weird for one of my friends to pair up with my brother instead of a close friend. To my surprise, when we got there, everyone partnered up with everyone. We would all just switch partners at random times, depending on the rides. Actually, there were a lot of rides for 3+ people there, so that was fun too :) There was this really fun & painful ride (yes, I said painfull) too. Basically, it was a musical ride, where there were 'chairs' (for 3 people each) going around in a circle. They would start off slow, and then speed up. The bad thing about this ride was that if you sat on the left side of the seat (closest to the outside), when it went faster and faster, the people to your right would suddenly smack themselves on you. I got so squished once, I thought my bones were being broken and felt so tight. But no matter how much you tried to push the people away, the force was way too strong. Oh yes, as I said, the ride was a musical ride. People could request the songs, basically, the ride went for the time of the song. Michael Jackson's songs got played so much that day. Thriller, Beat It, Bad, Billy Jean, you name it, if it was Michael Jackson, it was playing. I loved singing along with the songs, that was the only thing that kept me alive when I was being squished to death. There was another fun ride, which I also forgot the name of. It was like a circle with seats all around, and that circle would go up in the air and spin really fast. There were at least 30 people in that circle. I used to love that ride, but this time, it turned out to be the ride I hated the most. As soon as I came out of it, I felt like vomiting. I felt so sick to my stomach. :( I guess someone else felt the same way, because a few hours after when my friends went back to the ride (I went on another ride, a slower one :P), they said that when the ride stopped, a girl vomited all over the seats and floor. Poor girl :( I seriously dislike that ride now. Actually, when I went on it and felt sick, my other friend was also feeling the same. But she didn't have the same luck as me, she went straight to bathroom. On the other hand, my brother had a lot of fun. Before we left he went on the rock climbing, and he got to the top. I was planning to go on it too, but they were closing already. While my brother was climbing the wall, me and my friend went to the snacks store. My friend decided to get a candy apple. She was going to go for the red candy apple, and then she saw the caramel, so she was a bit unsure about it. That was until she saw the cookies n' creme apple. That apple looked so gorgeous, it was probably the best looking candy apple I've ever seen. So, she bought it and let me try some, and sure enough, it tasted the same way as it looked. Delicious! I had to buy one :) So I did. The bus ride back home was pretty fun, and uncomfortable too. My shirt was still a bit wet, and it felt cold. :( The reason my shirt was still a bit wet was because we went on a water roller coaster. We went like three times in a row, so we ended up getting completely soaked. With no change of clothes, all we had left to do was air dry. Fun but wet :P When we got off the bus to catch the next one, one of my friends had to go to the bathroom. We stopped at a McDonalds and bought apple pie :) To our surprise, there was a Tim Hortons right beside it. So of course, we bought the yummy hot chocolate they have there. We drank/ate our food on the second bus ride. I remember almost spilling the hot chocolate on my pants. Overall the day was really fun, but I think I got enough of theme parks for this year.
The day after the theme park, so Monday, my dad decided to take us to watch Transformers 2. It was already 8:00pm and the next showing wasn't until 10:30pm. Previously my dad had asked my mom to come with us. I found it a bit weird that my mom agreed to come with us, specially so late. When the four of us arrived at the theatres we saw a huge line-up outside. Honestly, I was already thinking "we're not going to watch it tonight". We went up to the front desk to buy our tickets. We found out that the 10:30pm showing was all sold out. The lady told us that there was another showing at 11:15pm. Now I was thinking "we're definitely not going to watch it". Shockingly, my mom said we could watch the late one. I have to say, the movie was pretty good. However, there were some akward moments between my brother and dad when the "mature" scenes came up (my brother is only 13). My dad can be a little bit strict sometimes. :P Luckily I'm past that age. Another thing I remember is that close to the end where the characters are fighting in a desert, i kept falling asleep. At one point there was a big loud noise and I woke up (and kind of jumped off my seat). My brother thought I was scared of the scene, I just went along wth it. I didn't want him to know the truth.
I don't want to make this blog longer than it already is, since there is still more coming :P. So, I'll just say it quickly. Yesterday was Canada Day (July 1st) and I went to the Canada Day parade with my family. My brother and I were actually in the parade, while my parents recorded us. After the parade we had some yummy hot dogs :) We were supposed to go back to the festival later for the fireworks, but I had to continue packing. And yes, here is what I was talking about on my last blog.
From July 4th (yes it's USA Day) all the way to July 25th I'm going to be at camp. The course I'm taking in that camp is leadership, so I believe it will be fun. This is the longest time I've ever stayed away from home alone. Well, actually not alone, since my brother is coming with me too (but he has a different course and it's only for two weeks). But you know what I mean. I've been packing my bags this whole week. Believe it or not, I'm still not done. I still have to do last minute shopping. Because I'm going to be away for so long (3 weeks), that means no updates or anything. BUT, just yesterday I found out that they have computers there. So that means I can still blog, not too long ones since the time is limited, but I will still try. I'll try to update you on how it's going for me and I'll be checking all my e-mail and everything on the site. However, those computers are not mine, and I don't want to be making any graphics on them. And I bet they don't even have any programs for that anyway. So, to all my affies and visitors. I will be going for three weeks, but I will still find some time to update. Please continue visiting and leaving comments. Also, the competitions are still on, so ahead and enter those now. Oh! One more thing, you might not know this, but I do have a page for birthdays. I just collect all my visitors birthdays there and advertise them when it's their special day. So I hope you go on and tell me your b-day :) Well, I'm going to go now and continue packing. I'm still trying to decide if I should take some games or things like that to keep me from boredom. But I don't know what. Thanks for reading, I'm sorry it was so long :P
Questions:
1) What do you think about the theme park overall. Good, bad or in between?
2) Have you watched Transformers 2 or any movies lately? Any you want to recommend?
3) What do you do on the day of your country?
4) Camp experiences, any advice?
