A few details about my book reviewing activities follow. Pl. feel free to browse through the site.
I will be retiring from my full time job (as a senior officer of Government of India) at the end of June, 2008. Pl. bear with me for the next few weeks since I need to settle some personal affairs. I will be able to spare more time for book editing and reviewing post retirement. I will continue to have internet access and so feel free to contact me.
When I wrote the above, I did not anticipate the problems of getting a new PC and internet at my home. So, I was without net connectivity all these weeks and only now (August 23, 2008), I could reconnect with my online friends. Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
I will try to clear the backlog of the books received for review soon. Pl. bear with me till then.

Right now, I prefer to work on Books in the fields of Psychology, Health, Spirituality/Religion, Self-Help, Management and Technical Books (in areas of Basic Science, Popular Science, Materials Science, Materials Testing, Quality Management, Computers etc.). But I am open to review books in other areas too, including Fiction (SF, Children's Books, Fantasy etc.). I am a Scientist and a Metallurgist by academic qualification. I am a writer with an eye for Quality. I am comfortable with PC, MS Office etc.
The book review will appear at http://swamyreviews.blogspot.com and www.bookpleasures.com and at www.amazon.com, www.barnesandnoble.com , www.shelfari.com as also at a few other sites. I will give you the URLs. In case of books received through other channels, I will also send the review to the concerned and will give a link or URL to that review.
In the case of health books, the review will also be shared with many Yahoo Groups of which I am owner, moderator and member. The total membership of those groups exceeds 10,000 and many if not most of the members are in US and Canada! Keep that mind while evaluating the use of sending a book to India spending about 20 US dollars or so.

For post-publication Book Reviews, I prefer printed books, since my review includes comment on the finish, get up, paper quality, print quality etc. If you want to send me a book for pre-publication review, i.e. where the review becomes a part of the book, pl. contact me and send me the .doc or .pdf file.
