House Fire. At 0653 Swoyersville fire was dispatched to Grandville and Main street for the reported house fire. Co. 279 along with 12 made a quick knock on the fire. Command Dep-279 held units from co. 279,379.and 179 for overhaul. All units ready 0937

June 17
Luzerne Fire, Pringle Fire and Engine 279 were dispatched to a structure fire at 871 miller street. Eng 157-1 first arriving found a like smoke condition to the rear of the structure. Crews from 157 searched and found a microwave malfunctioning Eng 279 along with eng 171 cancelled en-route.
May 8
Swoyersville Fire dispatched to the corner of Valley View and Sycamore Drive for the shed fire. Eng 279 along with Eng 179 arrived on scene with a light smoke condition. Eng 279 stood by at the hydrant at Birch Dr. & Main St. As Eng 179 put a 1 3/4 line in service. Crews quickly knocked down the fire. Units on scene for about 15 min.
April 23
Engine 279 responded into Luzerne for the possible building fire. Eng 279 arrived on scene side "C" with nothing evident as well as Eng 157-2arriving on side "A" also confirming nothing showing. Crews investigated and found a light haze of smoke in the area which later was found to be Outside burning. Crews cleared in about 10 Min.

Eng 72 on the transfer to Wyoming Station 1. While crews from Wyoming, West Wyoming, and Exeter extinguished a tire fire in Exeter boro.
