Squad: The STC

Hi everyone, I thought i would come on and say Hi and update everyone on how the STC are doing so far in 2007. Its been non stop practice for us this year, Working hard as ever. We have had lots of new members join up since January so training has been tough.

We are off to compete at UKCA nationals in 2 weeks, and we are nearly ready. Junior coed has stepped up to Advance level since Decembers triumph in BCA's southern classic's Coed Intermediate. (Cant stay intermediate forever) They have some awesome new stunts and skills and have taken on the challange of advance very well. Peewee's are growing non stop with every practice there is so many of them now they will SHINE in their next competition hopefully in July. Seniors are off to the Elite championships in Germany this year, and their routine rocks.. Some of the stunts were tricky to learn but they are starting to Master them now. The Coeds in the squad have had to up their game, as we saw at last years competitions Coed has to be the hardest division and with so many people mastering the Single Bases we had to do the same, which i must say they are doing a great job of.

The squad as a whole is going from strength to strength every week and we are all so excited about competing this year, Making lots of new friends and learning more skills. Good Luck to all other squads competing this year. Oh and to all STC's at BCA's Western Competition last weekend that we were working at, The programme had us on the Front page and a lot throughout so theres something to be proud of. Helen and I are so proud of your progress already this year, we cant wait to see what the remaining 10 months have to offer.

Hey Cheerleaders of the STC, Lianne and Helen here, we would just like to say how well u juniors have done at yesterday and tonights practice. Tonight was the last practice before leaving for the competition on Friday, you are looking fantastic guys, Junior Coed is soooo spot on you go and do it like you did everytime tonight and you will definately give the best performance possible. Also a huge well done to the 4 new juniors who learnt the dance routine in about 3 weeks, you look like you have been doing it for years. GREAT JOB!!

Group stunts are coming along nicely, last practices for them on wednesday just for those little tweaks of perfection. Seniors Coed group stunt....... so Excited!!!!

Hello Guys and Girls, Just a quickie from me... well done to all of you that competed this weekend, you were fab. I want to say a huge thank you to Jacey, without you the all female stunt group couldnt have competed, and seeing as we only finished the routine on wednesday and Jacey stepped in with a week to go following collette's injury, i think we did a fab job, and i'm proud to be part of the team. The Coaches of the STC would just like to say a HUGE well done to each and everyone of the Tornados who competed this weekend in Birmingham at the UKCA Nationals. You all performed exceptionally, and we have the trophies to Prove it. 3 Bids to Europeans in Denmark WOW.

Another Competition another 2 Champion Titles to add to the list. You juniors deserve it so much, you work so hard the months before the competition and then you perform so well. Good Job. Hi everyone. Sorry I have not written for a while, but those of you within the club know how much work you are putting in for Germany, and then for Denmark, so you know how busy we all are. You also know that we had some bad news about Pete Weston. and so to put you all properly in the picture, both inside the club and those of you outside the club who know and respect Pete as much as we do, this is the story, so far. (it has a happy ending, so please read on)
Peter was taken ill just over a week ago and was rushed into hospital with an irregular heart beat.Having frightened the living daylights out of his family,and all of the squad, over the next few days,he started to regain his old sense of humour, and his health.
Having found a cheap combination pacemaker and jump start kit, on e bay, the surgeons proceeded to fix him up properly and he is now back home and only taking 3 pills a day. He both looks and sounds fine, but will obviously be taking it easy for the next day or so.
I cannot tell you how good it was to see him down at the training session, this evening, and I know all of the squad, (and not a few other squad members that have come to know our Pete over the years we have been competing) will join me in wishing him a very speedy and complete recovery and a very warm welcome back. At least I can get on with coaching, now, without having to make my own tea, as well.

Hello Cheerleaders, STC Are so excited about our trip to Germany next week, its come around so quick but we are soooo ready. Routines are looking fantastic only 3 more practices and thats it. Partner stunt on Monday was all coming together. Group stunts are the best ever, even though we only have 1 min to cram everything into. Denmark group stunts are also coming along nicely, couple more weeks practice after germany then STC are on the travel again. Peewees are doing great with their new cheer routine for July, so many of them now. Juniors new advanced coed is gonna rock nationals.... and on that note, keep up the fantastic work guys and girls of the STC. we have lots of chances this summer to show off our germany routine seen as we cant do it at any other competitions. Hi everyone, just wanted to come on and say a HUGE Good Luck to the 2 group stunts that are travelling to Denmark tomorrow to represent the UK. We have been training hard, Just wanted to say well done to Craig and Lee, who have been brought up to the Senior Coed group stunt for this competition, as Ben and Darren are sunnin themselves in the Caribbean... Lucky Them!!! the routine is a lot tougher and the flyer a lot heavier lol but you have pulled it off and after last nights practice im more than happy with the routine we are going with. Juniors routine is fab and sure we will all have a fantastic time whatever the results. When we return on Monday i will update you all on the results. Hey STC and the rest of the Cheerworld. Firstly i would like to say thank you to the Seniors and Parents that attended our Fundraiser last Friday at the Wickbourne Swan, another awesome night with lots of money made. Well done to the Peewee and Junior Squads who performed at the Town Show on Saturday, with lots of members on holiday you covered it great. Thanks to the Parents who spent all day on the 2 stalls we had, without you the USA trip would not even seem possible. Peewees and juniors keep up the good work on Monday nights you are doing great but by November and Comeptition time you will be Spot On!! Seniors can not wait to show off our new routines at Southern Classic comp, it feels fantastic and hopefully will look just that to those judges. We have a Funday coming up soon to help raise more money for USA, which we will inform you all about shortly. Sussex Tornados have really pulled together the last few months to get the help and support we need to push us to the next level, we are very proud of all of you, and it proves if you want something bad enough you can get it with Hard work and Commitment...... Hello people, well we wanted to come on and say a huge thank you to everyone who made an apperance at the Nelson yesterday for the FunDay. It was a huge success, with over £500 being made. The fundraising to send the Juniors to America has been very successfull and we can now confirm that the Sussex Tornados junior coed will be taking up their bid to the USA in March 2008. We are so excited and as soon as we return from Southern Classics later this year we will be concentrating on the America Routines....Before then we do have Southern Classics to be concentrating on. Peewees are looking cuter than ever, just a lot of cleaning up to be done in the next few weeks. Junior coed you are doing a great job, after Nationals it has been tough as a lot of you moved up to seniors, but you are still looking great and this will be your first competition as Juior Coed ADVANCE, as you won Intermediate last year, it only seemed fair that you moved up to the next challange, and you are dealing with it very well. Seniors Awesome as always, loving the new routine it feels very clean, with more lads than ever it does help. Group stunts need to be cleaned up a little but to all of STC, keep up the hard work, and keep enjoying!!! Love you all, Love Lianne and Helen. x x x

Well STC what can we say this week saw your last practices for the BCA Southern Classics this weekend, and we are so excited, you have all worked your butts off for this..... As Tornados have done since day one of forming believed it is all about the fun rather than the winning, we are very very excited about how much fun you are all going to have going on to that floor doing your thing. We have so many new cheerleaders come on board for this competition especially peewees some of which are so tiny we are amazed at how they keep up with the routine, but we are confident you are going to love it! Senior Coed you have done a wicked job with the new routine its a shame that no one else feels they are at the advanced level so we are infact the only ones in the catagory, but hey we can just show everyone what we can do. We cant wait to see you perform your routines, thanks for all pulling together like always. and dont forget full uniform at 7.30am Sat Morning.

Hi Guys and Girls. What an awesome weekend. Due to circumstances beyond my control, my first Comp with you,in 2007, and did you save the best 'til last, or what? You should all be proud of what you have achieved. You make me proud to be a small part of your squad. But this is all about you. Your dedication, your hard work and your commitment, and it paid off, big time, even with some of you competing in your 1st ever competitions. 5 x 1st places, a 2nd, a 3rd and 2 x 5th places. You truly are Champions, and for the 4th year in succession. That is an incredible achievement. Lianne and Helen do an superb job (but I don't need to tell you that, do I?) Where do we go from here? Keep up the hard work, there are more competitions ahead. America beckons, next year, and we will be there. Lets blast through 2008 like the hurricanes we are. Working hard, having fun, but first and foremost being TORNADOS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Cheerleaders, hope all is well. I firstly would like to apologise for the website not being updated as regularly as i would of liked but as we know it has been busy busy busy lately. But from now on i will try and stay on top of it. Sooooo 2 weeks and we are off to Future Cheer..... Tornado's i hope your all excited, Junior not quite USA but never mind you cant do that twice in one year... oh unless your me ha ha.... Tornados we all know that Future has always been a competition for our peewees, so they get to do more than just the one a year, so our main aim is to go and support them. Juniors this is your last Junior coed as all lads will after this be seniors. Seniors you didnt want to wait all year for another competition and you were getting a bit fed up of going to competitions and being up against yourselves... little boring after a while, so you wanted to go and compete against the best, and wow you couldnt get any better than the competition you got, the best is definately what you got. Hope the rest of the cheer world is training hard and enjoying all they do. Well done to My Tornados for all their hard work they have been putting into the new routines, well done to the new guys and girls that have joined us this season, i hope you are enjoying it so far and im sure you will love the buzz of being on that competition floor. 2 weeks to go................................ Hey tornados, we wanted to come on and say a HUGE Well Done for your efforts on Sunday, you were a pleasure to take to the competition, stressfull at times with that many cheerleaders but we got through it. Each and Everyone of you Tornados done us proud on sunday, you went out you performed your little hearts out and you loved every min of it.... Hi Guys 2 days to go and i cant wait, I'm really proud to be competing with the Sussex Tornados and it's always even more special when we're in Brighton, lets see if we can get that 1st place for the 5th year.

Prep Squad i am so proud of you, you have worked really hard and i hope that it shows and your hard work pays off on Saturday, Peewee's looking amazing, Good Job Kelly damn good routine. But started off with my 1st All girl group stunt performance reminded me how much of a buzz you get and loved every minute of the rest of the day and having my lovely little boy with me just topped it off. Well, i am rarely at a loss for words, but last weekend has left me speechless. The other coaches have said it all and i am very proud to include myself in those remarks. You all did a yourselves, your families, your coaches and STC Proud. You are all great ambassadors for your sport, and compete with the STC Spirit everybody has come to know so well. You are the Souths No1 and truly deserve to be. Mums and Dads. What a great turn out from you and Thank You. I watched you while the Peewees and Preps were performing. Not a dry eye in the house: ) (Me Included) I know all of our teams did well, but sis you see the other Cheerleading Teams on the floor for our Seniors Routine? Nobody was left in the Seats. Hello Tornados (and other squads who look on here!) how aare we all? Haven't wrote on here before i dont think! I keep fogettinggg :s Southern was aaaaaamazing! I think we are doing so well as an all-girl cheer and just need to keep on the work. Bustin' ours to kick yours. Let's keep it that way! We can do it girliess and keep on being champions. Hey everyone, i wanted to be the bearer of More Great News...... The Sussex Tornados received 3rd place in this years Bonfire Society Carnival. 3rd place for best illuminated float - we have never done anything like this before and to be placed is Awesome!!! I just wanted to come and thank all the Parents that helped me allday and evening on Saturday 25th i couldnt of done it without you, and i am very grateful for all the help you do give,The Kids absolutly Loved every minuite of the Carnival, the Seniors and Juniors maybe more so ha ha. Thanks to all of you that were there. The STC Family came together again to pull off outstanding results both at competitions and in the community, so Thank you everyone that makes this possible. Roll on 2009.....

Calling all over 16yr old seniors. Just to double check you all got the message from lianne about Monday. We are to meet at the gratwick pub at 4am!! You are to wear warm clothes over your FULL uniform as most of the day will be outside, hair to be half up half down,with white trainers socks. Bring some food and drink with you just incase. it should be a really good day and it will be you as an individual who will lose out if you have given your information and then not show up!!! Seniors i wanted to say good job for Monday it was the longest day ever, but you worked non stop all day, and you did get lots and lots of Chocolate!! Juniors its your last practice on Monday 15th December.

Remember before you leave your last practice Junoirs and Seniors to make sure you know all details of whats happening over the christmas period.

200 has been an awesome year for us tornados and i can not wait for 2009 as each year just keeps getting better and better.

Hi, We at the Falcons just wanted to say thanks for being so cool yesterday at the Wispa filming! I think we were quited intimidated as there were so many of you but it just shows the Cheer world is all about kindness, support and spirit. We were all in total awe of the stunts you guys were pulling off, they were beyond awesome and im sure thats only the tip of the iceberg!
