1871 census: Residing Brunswick Terrace, Chapel Rd, Worthing. Occupation: servant.

Christopher unmarried a lodger 38 High Street, Worthing. Occupation bricklayer.

Joseph Wren is recorded with Alfred & Harriet Wren as their son.

1881 census: Residing 71 Newland Road Worthing. Occupation bricklayer. Father-in-law Alfred Wren and brother-in-law Alfred Wren living with them

1891 census: Widow Rebecca residing 71 Newland Road. Occupation: laundress. Ernest the eldest child at home, a draperís errand boy

1901 census: Residing 71 Newland Road. Occupation: housekeeper for family, Ernest a bricklayer, Charles a pimp maker and Albert an errand boy

1911 census: Residing 71 Newland Road. Son Christopher, invalid from army, daughter Maggie Rusbridge, son Albert Edward butcher and daughter Minnie tailoress at home. Also Albert Hatcher, boarder and houspainter born 1848 Arundel. Married but boarder with her 1901 as well.
