Ann Randford married James Nottingham in Broadwater 7/7/1776 (the marriage was also recorded for Tarring 16/6/1776). Her family does not seem to have come from the area. The only possible baptism on IGI is Ann Rainsfold baptised 5/4/1758 Willingdon, daughter of William and Sarah. Willingdon is a coastal village between Brighton and Eastbourne. William had three more daughters baptised there; Jane in 1753, Mary in 1755, Susanna in 1760. A son Thomas was baptised in Rottingdean 20/8/1749 (Ann and Jamesís son James moved to Rottingdean). Susanna Randford married Thomas Morley in Lewes St John Southover on 18/4/1782 and signed herself as Susanna Raynsford, which implies she was the daughter of William & Sarah and shows how the name varied. William probably married Sarah Mockford 18/3/1748 in Ovingdean (just outside Brighton). On the marriage record he is given as being from Ranscomb.
