1861census: general servant to Mary Wood, widow, Brierly Villas, Willesden.

1871census: coachman to a family in Kensington

1881 census:  coachman living 28 Devonshire Mews East, Brompton, London.

1891 census; Residing Buckingham Street, Shoreham  

1901 living Buckingham Place, New Shoreham.  1891 and 1901 working as a gardener.

1911 census: Inmate, Workhouse Kingston-by-Sea, Shoreham

1891 census: living with widowed father, working as a laundress.

1901 living High Street, New Shoreham  Occupation: bricklayers labourer.

1911 census: Residing 119 High Street, Shoreham occupation: bricklayer. Brother Henry Millard living with them

1911 census: Residing 49 West St, Shoreham. Occupation: waiter at Lancing College

1915 Worthing directory lists G Millard at 2 Cecil Rd

Died:         1892.

Married:    1873

Spouse:     Ann Jane Gumbrell.

Born:         1853 Fishergate

Parents:      probably Samuel & Ann Gumbrell who lived in Coombs. 

Died;            1889.

                   Alice born 1887.

 

1861 she was living Hide Street, Upper Beeding with parents and William 11 (born Portslade), James 7, Samuel 2, George 3 months. Her place of birth 1861 census was Southwick. Samuel was born Coombs 1836 and died 1892.

1891 living Old Shoreham St, Old Shoreham.
