JAMES b 1763 (chr 4/3/1763) died 16 June 1855 West Street Worthing  bur  21/6/1855 Pulborough from Worthing. Age 94 on burial register.and marriage certificate. Cause of death old age. Informed 16 June 1855 by jane Dunford of Moore’s Cottage Worthing who made her mark.  m 1st Elizabeth [no trace of marriage found yet] m 2nd 23/7/1789 Pulborough Sarah Streeter bans read 21/28 June and 5/7 1789. witnessed by James Comper & Nicholas Warner . Sarah was chr 18/10/11766 daughter of Michael & Rebecca. Sarah died 16/10/1840 wife of James Hayler, labourer, Pulborough. Died of consumption. Notified by mary Greenfield, present at the death, 20/10/1840.

1841 residing Pulborough with grandson James Hayler Greenfield son of Edmund and Mary.Occupation: labourer

1851 residing 19 West St, Worthing with grand-daughter-in-law  Jane Greendfield, wife of fisherman and her sister Emily Arlett.
