Family History

Thomas Harrison was the brother of my husband's ancestor James Harrison. There are still mysteries here. Did Thomas and Rosanna marry? What happened to her after his death? And what happened to their daughter Ellen? Any information would be welcome.

1861 living Brereton terrace Cottage, Brereton, Staffs. Occupation: coalminer. Living with them brother and sister-in-law James & Ellen Harrison,nephew William Harrison and sister-in-law Ellen Ball, farm servant

1871: widow living in The Slade, Rugeley with her parents (father a miner, aged 58), mother Ellen (57) daughters Ellen and Clara and sister and brother-in-law Annie (21) & Joseph Preece (25) and sister Mary (16).

1911 census: Sons Frederick and Reginald living with their aunt Clara. Frederick a steward and Reginald a goods checker.

Lilian may have married 1908 Atcham district Archibald McLean McKechnie (unable to trace on 1911 census) and Francis possibly the Francis Arthure Roberts born Salop living with uncle Edward Shaw, Valley Rd, Wistaston, Crewe and working as tinsmith on L & NW Railway.
