1841 census: Living Walberg St, St George East with John and Clara Keen, sisters Mary and Emma

1851 census: Living with parents. Occupation: Slop worker

1861census: living with parents, Occupation: slop trouser maker

1871 census: 28 Charlotte Court, head of household, no occupation.

1891 census: she was still at same address working as a needlewoman, with a lodger Amelia Skut, 83 from Stockbridge, Hants, a tailoress supported by charity.

Note 1: A James Boxall died 1886 Whiotechapel aged 51

Note 1: Marriage witnessed by Thomas Martin and Mary Ann Lindsay (who made her mark). Joseph signed and Elizabeth made her mark. Gave name as Joseph Thomas. Father give as James Boxall seaman and his occupation as fisherman. Both living Sclater Street
