Hail banked up along the front wall of my house at Ellalong on the front verandah, in the 1970's,this was a severe storm that came in from the south and pounded the front of the house with hail.

:This is a pick of the hail on the ground at Paxton 10kms southwest of Cessnock after a severe hail storm passed through the Hunter on the 5th of October 2005.The storm also passed over Cessnock,then on to Weston and Kurri,Kurri.

Storm approaching to my West in December 2003,it had very severe CG lightening and very heavy rain,main part of storm passed just to my north,hit Cessnock area, they recieved 35mms in a short time,here in Ellalong 10kms south of Cessnock recieved 7mms,Maitland to Cessnock blacked out for 2hrs.

:Supercell buildup to my north,.This storm built up even larger,then moved east over Newcastle,pounding them with heavy rain,and hail as big as golf balls.

: This storm came in from the West about 5pm on the 13th of Dec.I recieved very heavy rain and bonker size hain,severe CG lightening,and very strong wind gusts,the storm then headed east towards the Freemans Waterholes area.

This is a pic of a severe storm approching from the south west,on December 29-12- 08,it gave us some strong wind gusts,heavy rain & some small hail,also some close CG lightning,I measured 28mms of rain in about 15mins. .
