PARNA began her musical training at the tender age of three in Rabindrasangeet under the tutelage of Shree Aurobindo Biswas, with inspirations and encouragement from her mother Smt. Sruti Roy, an ex-disciple of Late Shree Ashoktaru Bandopadhyay. Alongside, Suparna also took training in vocal music and obtained her “Sangeet Prabhakar” Junior Diploma in Vocal music, in first division with distinction from Prayag Sangit Samiti, Allahabad.

PARNA then joined Surangama, the renowned institute of Late Shree Sailaja Ranjan Mazumder, in 1984 and started her training in Hindustani Vocal music, Rabindrasangeet and Puratani. She graduated with a degree in Vocal music and Rabindrasangeet in 1990 after 6 years of training.

 Subsequently, from 1991, she started her training in Bengali Modern and Raagpradhan songs under the guidance of the renowned singer, lyricist and composer, "Shree Jatileshwar Mukherjee". In 1995, Suparna moved to USA for her doctoral studies and eventually became a resident of the United States of America.

 After coming to USA, PARNA continued to receive her vocal training under Shree Rakesh Chitradurga, a disciple of Pt. Jasraj of Mewati gharana.She is currently under the tutelage of renknowned vocalist Shree Haresh Bakshi of Gwalior gharana.They are also extremely fortunate to recieve guidance of Pt. Santanu Bandopadhyay of Bishnupur Gharana son of Pt Amiya Ranjan Bandopadhyay.

PARTHA received his training in vocal classical and semi-classical music from Sri Madhusudan Chakraborty (disciple of Sangeetacharya Sukhendu Goswami and Pt. A.T. Kanan) and Sri Baidyanath Goswami (disciple of Sangeetacharya Tarapada Chakravarty).In  the US PARTHA has received training under Shree Rakesh Chitradurga, a disciple of Pt. JASRAJ. He also performs comic sketches, skits, caricatures (mainly in Bengali) and parody songs written or composed by him. He has performed in several cultural functions in Calcutta and in USA as an invited artist and received immense appreciation. Partha has a great skill of imitating the voices of several well-known personalities from Bengal.
