While searching for information on the care of our chinchillas, I was surprised at the amount of mis-information. First is the pet store, just looking at how they house their chinchillas, one can tell that they either don't know or don't care what a chin needs. Chinchilla books again are full of mostly out dated ideas or things that are just plain wrong for taking care of chins. Finally,, the internet,, there are good web sites, but also plenty of bad web sites that again, do not have the right info.
I am a chinchilla owner and MCBA & ECBC member located in the Orlando , Florida area. Most of my work consists of taking in and caring for rescues as well as my own herd.
I finally decided to add my own two cents worth , and have started this site. I want to share what I know, and also the good forums , books and web sites that are out there.
