Prison Escape: Bought this because it looked amusing, plus I really enjoyed this scene in DMC. I really hope no crows were harmed in the making of that film.
The Rundown: Prison escape Jack Sparrow in Escape coffin with leg bone paddle. The days of priates ruling the seas are coming to an end as the British Navy tames the Caribbean. But pirates don't go down without a fight. Battles will be fought, dark forces and dangerous creatures of the sea will push back on the modern world - and the crafty Captain Jack Sparrow will make his stand...Jack owes a debt to Davy Jones. With time running out Jack must find a way out or else be doomed. The question is "Who will control the seas?"
With the Pirates of the Caribbean collection. YOU can see the action, and rule the sea! Motorized pirates in action. Replay your favourite scenes straight from the movie.

At World's End: I've seen it! A personal review? It was AWESOME!!! hehe I suppose that would be a little biased coming from a Pirates fan XD I think AWE would be my favourite film now, simply because it was so fecking hilarious. Murtog and Mullroy make a comeback in this film. Their characters along with Pintel and Ragetti provide the much needed comic relief. I watched this film at 9.30AM at the local cinema, VUE (See previous post). There are a few character deaths in AWE, and needless to say I'm rather devasted.

Spoiler begins here, please highlight the paragraph in order to read it.
Norrington is promoted to Admiral by Lord Beckett. Admiral Norrington has a brand spanking new uniform with even more brocade than in COTPB, ago he's even more of a Mardi Gra Float teehee. He sails with Davy Jones on the Flying Dutchman to command over Jones via orders from Beckett. Norrington obviously commands for the chest to be guarded. Governor Swann is killed because Beckett no longer found him useful and when Elizabeth finds out, she thinks Norrington was involved. He wasn't and tries to prove that he wasn't by helping her and the rest of the crew to escape. Bootstrap Bill Turner catches them and raises the alarm (He's losing his memory in this film because he is becoming part of the ship), he then kills Norrington by stabbing him through the chest. Elizabeth watches as she escapes. It's all so sad. Also note that in all 3 films, Elizabeth has kissed Will Turner, Jack Sparrow, Sao Feng and Norrington.
Spoiler ends here. And let's move onto today's item.

The Black Pearl: I absolutely love this model. It comes with miniature figures of Jack Sparrow, Will Turner and Joshamee Gibbs. As with all my collectables, I have a hard time just taking it out of the box T_T [geeks out] lol. But I really wanted to put the model in my car along with my plushie Kraken (actually a TY squid). I must say it looks awesome, and does get a few looks from pedestrians when the walk past my car ^_^
The Rundown: The best part of the ship is being able to move the rudder back and forth to remotely bring the cannons into their ports =D Sail over flat surfaces with the hidden wheels under the hull and pop up the pirate to uncover the hidden treasure! Which is simply gold painted plastic, but hey it's cute! Besides from the model being insanely disproportionate i.e The micro figures are huge compared to the gun ports, helm etc. This is a wonderful model to have in your collection. There is lovely attention to detail with the rigging, sails and mast. Paintwork on the stern and lanterns are superb to be sure. Also available in this series are the Flying Dutchman with Davy Jones, Bootstrap Bill Turner and Macon, and the Edinburgh Trader with Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann and Captain Bellamy.

No one. He's no one. A distant cousin of my aunt's nephew twice removed. Lovely singing voice, though. Eunuch.

Action Figure: Captain Jack Sparrow 6" Action figure, Dead Man's Chest out of a collection of 6 figures. Captain Jack Sparrow, Cannibal Island Jack Sparrow, Davy Jones, Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann and Bootstrap Bill Turner.
The Rundown: This collectable model is in a very interesting case. The plastic is moulded into the shape of a skull, which gives the product an effective contour and uniqueness. Akin to Series 1 and Series 3 Classic Captain Jack Sparrow (Curse of the Black Pearl and Dead Man's Chest respectively) this model is available with Jack, flintlock pistol, and a (blood-free) cutlass. It has an addition of cursed skeletal monkey Jack but this model does not come with a base. I suppose you get to play with the monkey instead ^_^ The amount of detail is applaudable, yet the skin pigmentation is slightly uneven and I'm sure you'll agree with me; much too pale. There are no details what so ever on the hands however. There is no wristwrap or charcoal around the palm and back of the hand. No jewellery either. So the rating for this review is 4/5. I like monkey Jack okay. He boosted up the ratings. This action figure is made exclusively for the Disneystore whereas the collectable model series are made by Neca and Reel Toys.

Recommended Pirate-related stuff:I like the idea of Jack being ambiguous because women were thought to be bad luck on ships and these pirates went to sea for years at a time.

Cinemarquette: Series 1 Classic Captain Jack Sparrow from Dead Man's Chest. On display on my wall of obsession, still in its box. Excellent condition, but gathers dust like there's no tomorrow.
The Rundown: He seems to have tanned alot more since Series 1 Classic Captain Jack Sparrow from Curse of the Black Pearl. He has a much more serious look to him in this model. No blood on the cutlass, and the rum bottle has lightened in colour. Also available with pistol, hat and base of course. I found that the details are immaculate this time round, the beads, the sash and right down to the compass. Aforementioned compass, is attached by string and sways freely. However, it does not open nor spin. As with the second film, Jack's costume has undergone additional accessories. His belt buckles have changed on the shoulder belt and waist belt as well. In the movie, Jack actually has some animal fur attached on his waist belt as adornments during Sparrow's stay with the Cannibals on Pelepagos Island.

And I half expected it to be made of wood. You are, without doubt, the worst pirate I've ever heard of.

Recommended video: Pirates of the Caribbean DMC Bloopers. It's actually a really good quality video. Watched it 7 times so far.
Recommended fanfiction: When duty calls, Commodore Norrington responds but the journey takes him a lot farther than he originally anticipated. Seduction, smut, angst, alternative lifestyle, not-so-happy ending.

Figurine: Series 1 Classic Captain Jack Sparrow. Currently sitting on my treasure chest along with many other figurines. I actually saw this item again at Woolworths selling for £4.99, so I felt great for getting it at discount price on Amazon, I even got free shipping to the UK. Great packaging and delivery time A+ I gave this a personally rating of 2/5 because of lack of detail and especially the cleanliness. As I'm sure many will agree, that's just not Captain Jack Sparrow X3
The Rundown: Details. Not very many. The paintwork looks half-arsed, the flesh is too pale and...clean. Comes with sword, pistol and trihat though. Pocket-sized Captain Jack Sparrow, you can have swashbuckling adventures on your work desk. Oh my. This is more of a toy than a collectable model and you can tell because of the lack of details on the face and of course the beads. Alot of them are missing or just painted over the black hair, so it seems like random splodges of paint. The box is pretty interesting though, it gives a mini profile of Jack. Place of Origin: Unknown. Skills: Leads people to wherever he wants. Major Possessions: Hat, pistol, compass, his freedom and the Black Pearl. Base of Operations: The Caribbean and the Seven Seas.

Recommended video: "I hate you then I love you". This video almost made me cry. Seriously. It's a must see. The clips taken from Curse of the Black Pearl of Will looking through the iron bars at Jack. Just. Just well done, mate.
Recommended fanfiction:Norrington is on holiday (James/Jack) Slashy goodness. You've been warned.

Cinemarquette: Series 3 Capt. Jack Sparrow with cutlass, rum bottle, compass, pistol, hat, alternate hand and base. This collectable was what got me started on Pirates. Merchandise. It was begging me to buy it. I swear. But just look at him, with that cheeky smile. Who could honestly turn Jack down? Who? <3 I found him at my first LondonExpo with Owleth ^^ He cost alot less than he usually does in shops such as Disneyworld. Great buy at £8 GBP He currently lives in his box on my wall. Attached with a wooden drawing pin.
The Rundown: Now, to be professional reviewed. I first categorized this under the "Toys" section. I don't personally feel that this is a toy in its meaning. An object to be played with. I feel that this is a Collectable, in ways that you can either take it out of the box and admire it in a beautiful glass cabinet, or on your shelf. In which case, I recommend frequent dusting with a lint-free cloth. Or you can keep it in its original state with perfect packaging. This requires minimal dusting. Series 3 Capt. Jack Sparrow is as its name suggests, remastered several times to get it to look as good as the real thing. With these kind of models. Copious amounts of work has been put into the production of these. Usually, the actor/actress are scanned (full body and sometimes naked!) so computer graphics can be designed and therefore made into resin (other materials used also). The crucial points in a collectable model are the facial expressions. If you google this item. You'll find that Series 1 of Capt. Jack Sparrow has a more stern expression. Skin colour may vary and also change if exposed to strong lighting. This cinemarquette is of Jack Sparrow as portrayed in the Curse of the Black Pearl movie.
