AFFILIATION for 2007-08 Season: Affiliation forms are currently en-route to SSFA Reps.
It is essential that the team registration form (Yellow) is returned to K. Boyle BEFORE the AGM (Friday 8th June)
as decisions will be made at the AGM as to the size of leagues etc.
Fees and Handbook requests can follow but PLEASE register teams before AGM.
Can I also remind Reps that only schools represented at AGM can be considered for
entry into leagues for next season.
Any school wishing to play football at ANY level MUST be affiliated to SSFA for Legal and Insurance reasons.
Even if you decide to only play friendlies next season you MUST be affiliated to the Association and
thus to the County and ESFA.


PRESENTATION EVENING: The Presentation Evening 2007 has been arranged for Thursday 3rd May 6:30pm at The Seaburn Centre. Full details will be sent to schools and listed here (below).
Please inform players, parents and guests that due to the foyer of the Centre being used as a polling station we must use the "side entrance" which leads directly into the hall from the pedestriam alleyway to the left hand side of the building.

The "Current Leagues" above are finalised.
I am aware that some games are continuing this week. This is purely for the "tidying up" of leagues
and to enable enthusiastic teams to finish the season.

so Monkwearmouth to meet Southmoor in U12 league play-off.
U13 White pool decider postponed until Monday 16th April due to County Cup committments this week.
U15 White pool decider: Castle View 1 THORNHILL 2
so Thornhill to meet Southmoor in U15 League play-off.

The play-offs for leagues have been scheduled for the first week back after Easter to help with fixture congestion:
Tuesday 17th April at Houghton Kepier...... U12 and U14 play-offs K.O. 4:30
Wednesday 18th April at Southmoor........... U13 and U15 play-offs K.O.4:30

U16 No play-off but FARRINGDON and VENERABLE BEDE will share the League Title.

Trophies: The Cochrane cup has been repaired at some considerable cost. An embarrassing number of trophies were NOT AVAILABLE for presentation at this years Awards Evening. PLEASE CHECK FOR SSFA TROPHIES AT YOUR SCHOOL AND PASS ON TO K.BOYLE at St. Aidan's.

Next S.S.F.A. Management Meeting

The next meeting will be a short meeting held after the close of business at the A.G.M. which will be held on Friday 8th June at the SAndhill Centre 4:15 p.m.
