Sunday Morning Softball

FIRST GAME OF THE SEASON IS MAY 3, 2009.

Sunday Morning Softball is a pickup softball game for the Rochester Jewish Community played each Sunday from the first week of May until Labor Day.

Games begin at 9:30 AM and are over around 11:00.  Games take place on the softball field behind Brighton High School.  The first 22 people who sign up on a given week play -- so be on time, or be early.

Games are open to all members of the Jewish community, both men and women,  from ages 12 and up;  although children under 16 need a parent or a guardian.

Teams are chosen each week at game time, so if you didn't like last week's team, you'll have a new team the next week.  The goal of the team selection is to create two, equally matched teams, so ideally the games ends in a tie.

There is no weekly commitment.  Play as often as you can.

There is no quality requirement.  We have players at all levels.

Over the years we've developed some special rules to cover situations that aren't covered in the rule book.  For a complete list of rules click here.
