Scottish Country Fair and Celtic Festival

A Celebration of Scots-Irish Heritage

Sumter Scottish Country Fair and Celtic Festival

Over 225 years ago, groups of Scots-Irish traveled from Williamsburg Township to settle in the Salem Black River area of eastern Sumter County.  In 1759, these settlers established Salem Black River Presbyterian Church.

In 2008, the Sumter County Museum will hold the 8th annual Scottish Country Fair and Celtic Festival to celebrate these early settlers and their descendants.  The Fair features Highland Games, music, and dance.

Come to Sumter and Join us for the 8thAnnual Scottish Country Fair and Celtic Festival on April 25th-27th, 2008!
