Minsmere - An adult Spoonbill was present on East Scrape with 2 summer plumaged adult Little Gulls
Trimley - A single Wood Sandpiper remained whilst 11 Mediterranean Gulls, 3 Greenshank, 3 Spotted Redshank, Knot and Hobby were also present. An Otter was also noted again. Monday 29th June 2009.
Livermere - 3 Black Terns over Livermere lake during the evening.Minsmere - 2 Roseate Tern still present on the scrape @ 1130hrs at least.Boyton - 2 Wood Sands still present on the flash.Melton - Red Kite South heading towards Woodbridge.Sunday 28th June 2009.
Reydon - The Great White Egret was again seen at Hen reedbeds.
Minsmere - 2 Roseate Terns still present on the scrape late morning at least + 25 fsp Spotted Redshanks, Wood Sand, Arctic Tern & Little Gull noted.Boyton - 2 Wood & 1 Green Sand present on the flash.Trimley - 2 Wood Sand & 5 Spotted Redshanks on Trimley marsh SWT.Saturday 27th June 2009.
Minsmere - 2 Roseate Terns on East scrape early afternoon + single Little Gull & 19 Spot Reds present on the scrape & Wood Sand on South scrape then flew towards South levels late morning + YL Gull present.

Sizewell - 4 Little Gulls off the rigs.
Sutton - A BEE-EATER was seen wires mid afternoon before flying off North towards Red Lodge.
Trimley - No sign of the Spoonbill on Trimley marsh SWT this morning.

Minsmere - 1 Roseate Tern present on the scrape late morning, also noted, Little Gull, Little Stint, 21 Spot Reds & 5 Ruff all in summer plumage.

Benacre - The Great White Egret was again seen on the Broad 2 1400hrs.
Minsmere - Single Roseate Tern again present on East scrape + 15 fsp Spot Redshanks, also a Honey Buzzard was rptd over the carpark early afternoon.
Hollesley - Spoonbill over Hollesley marsh towards Orfordness mid morning.

Minsmere - 2 Roseate Terns still present on East scrape late morning.
Felixstowe - Pom Skua off 'The Dip' late morning.

Minsmere - Single Roseate Tern present from West hide @ 1635hrs + 12 fsp Spotted Redshanks.

Orford - No sign today of the 1st summer female WOODCHAT SHRIKE along the river wall between Orford quay & Gedgrave.

Minsmere - 3 Roseate Terns present on East scrape late morning + 1st sum Little Gull, the levels held a single Garganey & 3 fsp Spot-shanks.
Orford - A 1st summer female WOODCHAT SHRIKE was found mid afternoon along the public footpath SW of Orford @ TM.415.485 adjacent to Tide Guage and was still present @ 2030hrs at least.

Lowestoft - A Puffin was seen close North offshore off Ness point @ 0720hrs + 2 Roseate Terns were seen resting on bouys @ 1900hrs. 2 Common Cranes were noted over Carlton @ 0942hrs.
Reydon - The Great White Egret was again seen over Hen Reedbeds @ 1645hrs.
Minsmere - 2 Roseate Terns present from East hide @ 1100hrs at least.

Benacre - A Great White Egret was present and showing very well on the Broad opposite the hide @ 1515-1630hrs at least.
Minsmere - 3 Roseate Terns still present on the scrape + c750 Sandwich Terns rptd. Single Spoonbill over the levels late eveing heading SW inland.
Levington - Red Kite over Levington Creek heading towards Nacton late morning.

Minsmere - Upto 6 Roseate Terns were seen on the scrape from early afternoon with 3 birds still present @ 1640hrs, all 6 birds appeared to be rung on both legs, also a Red Kite was seen over the reserve @ 1100hrs.
Stonham - A Red Kite was rptd to have been seen lingering over Stonham Tap early afternoon.

Felixstowe - A Basking Shark was seen off The Dip Old Felixstowe @ 1515hrs.
Ipswich - 4 Peregrines seen over Foundation Street in the town.

Minsmere - The elusive 1st summer Purple Heron was again seen on North marsh @ 1545hrs.

Reydon - A Great White Egret was seen to fly from Hen reedbeds @ 1425hrs then land on the Blyth est.

Benacre - A Great White Egret was present on the Broad @ 1545hrs + 2 distant drake Garganey noted early afternoon.
Minsmere - No sign of the Roseate Tern from Public hide this morning but 2+ Little Gulls noted, also seen was the Purple Heron again on North marsh @ 1035hrs + Great White Egret that flew East over the levels and out to sea @ 1810hrs.
Landguard - Singing Black Redstart present this morning.

Minsmere - The ringed Roseate Tern was again present on the scrape viewable from the public viewing platform this morning + the 2 Spoonbills remain on Island Mere.

Kessingland - 2 Balearic Shearwaters North offshore @ 0943hrs.
Minsmere - Purple Heron seen early afternoon + 2 Spoonbills on Is.mere.
Orford - Probable Montagu's Harrier seen on Orfordness.

Minsmere - A Great White Egret & 2 Spoonbills were present in the reedbed early morning + the ringed Roseate Tern was once again present on East scrape.
Shingle Street - 3 Corn Buntings present.
Landguard - A Marsh Warbler was trapped, ringed & released this morning.
Stowmarket - A BEE-EATER was heard over Redwing Drive @ 1105hrs.

Minsmere - Adult Purple Heron on the Konik field from 0555-0610hrs then flew South + 2 Spoonbills.
Tuesday 9th June 2009.
Minsmere - Roseate Tern (ringed on both legs) present on East scrape @ 1330hrs + an unringed Roseate Tern was discovered on South scrape @ 1740hrs, alsoa 2s Caspian Gull was noted on the scrape.

Sudbourne - Harrier sp prob Montagu's seen over Sudbourne marshes this afternoon.

Minsmere - Single Spoonbill present on South scrape this morning + Roseate Tern on East scrape @ 2015hrs.
Thorpeness - No sign nor sound of the Marsh Warbler by 0900hrs.
North Warren - A Honey Buzzard was seen over the heath at midday.
Felixstowe - Possible AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER seen again on the saltings opposite the yacht called 'Nakita' @ 1315hrs.

Thorpeness - A singing Marsh Warbler was present at the old caravan park this evening, showing intermittently in scrub to the East side at the North end.
North Warren - Single Spoonbill present on North Marsh @ 1630hrs.
Felixstowe - No sign of the 1st summer AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER at high tide today.

Orfordness - A 2nd year Montagu's Harrier was present on the island today.

Felixstowe - A contentious 1st summer GOLDEN PLOVER complete with grey axillaries and underwing-coverts was discovered on saltings adjacent to the ferry mid afternoon and was still present at 1630hrs at least showing on mudflats c500yards past the 'kissing gate'. The bird was initially thought to be an AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER?

Landguard - A Marsh Warbler was singing intermittentley from bramble clumps alon 'The Butts' mid-morning and was still singing late afternoon.
