1st January 2006 - Still quiet! Nothing really of interest has happened.  The only excitement was a strike by wholetime/day crew FF against scrapping of Bury's TTL.  This has ended with a new "multi-role" appliance being ordered for Bury (Pump HP in other words).  MoD fire crews using Greater Manchester Volvos were on standby for the 22 strikes but never used.
