be my guest.

greetings and salutations

Hello! Welcome to my little haven on the net. I am still learning the basics on how to make use of  all the stuff here. So please bare with me.

My name is Bettina. I am a 28 year old single half-paralyzed single mother. I think the "title" says alot already. Hehehe.  I am the eldest child of two. Although I have ALOT of cousins, so my childhood was the best. My parents are the most wonderful people in the world. They have given me all i need and all the love and support i could ever ask for. I am truly blessed.

My younger brother and I are both adopted for my parents could not have any children of thier own. However this never bothered me. In fact I feel so lucky and am lucky. I have a 5 year year old son who is the love of my life. The ultimate joy of my parents and the reason why I was born.

I was only paralyzed 5 years ago, so I led a pretty normal life before. I still lead a normal life now because I firmly believe that 'disability does not mean inability'. In fact it has given me more purpose in life. Though frustrating at times, I know i can overcome alot and share my experience with others.

I have a great set of REAL friends some of them I have known since I was in the first grade. My friends have been the best support group as well as my family. I love each and everyone of them dearly.

My first love was horses and horseback riding. Despite my physical challenge now, I still continue to ride and enjoy my horse. Riding keeps me sane.

I love to cook for my friends and family. I make them try the new dishes i come up with. I have a very small food business which allows me to cook at home and spend alot of time with my son.

Basically, I am a well-rounded person (pun intended too haha). I have my ups and downs. My mood swings and  antics too. Right now, I am grateful that God gave me a second chance in life. Im a grateful that i am truly blessed.

Feel free to browse through my site. All I ask is for you to respect what i have posted and will post especially the pictures of my son.

Enjoy...take care.
