About the Show

This story follows young Patty Rabbit and her family as they make themselves at home in a new town - Maple Town. Papa Rabbit has taken the position of Maple Town's postmaster, and the Rabbit family is excited to start a new life. The town is just as lovely as they imagined and Patty meets many friends at her school. Her best friend of all is Bobby Bear, who is always up for adventure. Yet friendship often turns to rivalry with Fanny Fox, the snobby daughter of the wealthy Fox family. Maple Town is filled with friendly citizens, but sometimes the peace is disrupted by the mischievous Wilde Wolf, a scruffy sword-wielding thief who lives in the forest. Sheriff Bulldog is always on his tail, but Patty and her friends often wind up teaching Wilde Wolf a lesson in the end. As Patty continues to live each day laughing and playing, she discovers why Maple Town is everyone's favorite place to be.

Maple Town first aired in Japan in 1986 under the name of Maple Town Monogatari (Maple Town Stories). The fifty-two episode animated series was dubbed into English and aired on Nickelodeon as part of the the Nick Jr. lineup from 1987-1993. In the English dubbed version, a live-action segment with Mrs. Maple (Janice Adams) was added to the beginning and end of each episode to deliver the moral of each story. Maple Town is best known for its collectible merchandise, which includes posable figurines of the animal families, complete with clothing, houses, furniture, and vehicles.

Lyrics to the Theme Song:

Can't wait to get to Maple Town
My favorite place to be
Maple Town and me.

Living each day, we laugh and we play
My favorite place to be
Maple Town and me.

Can't wait to get to Maple Town
My favorite place to be
Maple Town and me.

Living each day, we laugh and we play
My favorite place to be
Maple Town and me.

About the DVDs

Maple Town is available in a set of four DVDs containing twenty-eight episodes from the cartoon series and includes a professional DVD case featuring quality custom cover art and an episode list insert. Each DVD has menus with sound for easy selection of episodes, which have been conveniently put into chronological order. Maple Town is available for the very first time on DVD from this site only.

This set comes on DVD-R, which will play on most DVD players as well as a computer with a DVD-ROM drive and appropriate DVD-viewing software. I use only genuine top quality DVD-R media from Verbatim, and occasionally Sony or TDK, for maximum quality and compatibility.

The quality is an eight to nine out of ten (see the screen capture links above for examples). This is the highest quality set available, and in fact, the only set available at this time. I spent months capturing, digitally restoring, and converting the series to DVD format for the first time ever. This ensures quality every time you watch, unlike VHS tapes, which deteriorate over time.

United States Customers:
Please add $5 for 2-3 day Priority Mail shipping with Delivery Confirmation.

International Customers:
Canadian residents, please add $11 for 6-10 day Priority Mail International shipping.
For most other international locations, please add $13 for 6-10 day Priority Mail International shipping (please contact me to confirm whether I will be able ship to your location).

I Accept the Following Types of Payment:
PayPal (US buyers ONLY). Please email me for instructions.
Money order/cashiers check in US dollars.
Well-concealed cash in US dollars. Please send cash at your own risk, as the United States Postal Service and all other mail carriers I know of will not insure cash through the mail against loss or theft.

I do NOT accept: Personal checks, Western Union money transfers, or other payment forms not listed above. I currently don't have the extra time in my schedule to accommodate the processing of additional payment forms; doing so would slow down the processing time of all orders. I apologize for any inconvenience.

If you decide to order or have any questions, I am always available. Drop me an email; I check it throughout the day, so I will get back to you promptly with the necessary ordering information and answers to your questions.

Return Policy

All discs are checked to be in perfect working condition before they are shipped, but in the unlikely event that any disc is damaged during shipping or not functioning properly, you may return the faulty disc(s) and I will replace them for free. Due to the nature of these discs (in that they can be copied relatively easily) and the fact that the price you pay is for time and materials, I do not issue refunds, only replacements. This is why it is important to read all the information I have provided, and make sure that you understand what a DVD-R is and whether your DVD player will be able to play DVD-R before you order.

If you do have any problems with the discs or need a replacement, I'm always available to help out and answer any questions you may have.
