About
the Show
This story follows young Patty Rabbit and her family
as they make themselves at home in a new town - Maple Town. Papa Rabbit has
taken the position of Maple Town's postmaster, and the Rabbit family is excited
to start a new life. The town is just as lovely as they imagined and Patty meets
many friends at her school. Her best friend of all is Bobby Bear, who is always
up for adventure. Yet friendship often turns to rivalry with Fanny Fox, the
snobby daughter of the wealthy Fox family. Maple Town is filled with friendly
citizens, but sometimes the peace is disrupted by the mischievous Wilde Wolf, a
scruffy sword-wielding thief who lives in the forest. Sheriff Bulldog is always
on his tail, but Patty and her friends often wind up teaching Wilde Wolf a
lesson in the end. As Patty continues to live each day laughing and playing, she
discovers why Maple Town is everyone's favorite place to be.
Maple Town first aired in Japan in 1986 under the name of Maple Town Monogatari
(Maple Town Stories). The fifty-two episode animated series was dubbed into
English and aired on Nickelodeon as part of the the Nick Jr. lineup from
1987-1993. In the English dubbed version, a live-action segment with Mrs. Maple
(Janice Adams) was added to the beginning and end of each episode to deliver the
moral of each story. Maple Town is best known for its collectible merchandise,
which includes posable figurines of the animal families, complete with clothing,
houses, furniture, and vehicles.

About
the DVDs
Maple Town is available in a set
of four DVDs containing twenty-eight episodes from the cartoon series and
includes a professional DVD case featuring quality custom cover art and an
episode list insert. Each DVD has menus with sound for easy selection of
episodes, which have been conveniently put into chronological order. Maple Town is available for the very first time on DVD from this site
only.
This set comes on DVD-R, which will play on most DVD players as well as a computer
with a DVD-ROM drive and appropriate DVD-viewing software. I use only genuine
top quality DVD-R media from Verbatim, and occasionally Sony or TDK, for maximum
quality and compatibility.
The quality is an eight to nine out of ten
(see the screen captures
One
Two
Three
Four
for examples). This is the highest quality
set available, and in fact, the only set available at this time. I spent
months capturing, digitally restoring, and converting the series to DVD
format for the first time ever. This ensures quality every time you watch,
unlike VHS tapes, which deteriorate over time.

Return
Policy
All discs are checked to be in perfect working condition before they are
shipped, but in the unlikely event that any disc is damaged during shipping or
not functioning properly, you may return the faulty disc(s) and I will replace them for free. Due to the nature of these discs (in
that they can be copied relatively easily) and the fact that the price you pay
is for time and materials, I do not issue refunds, only
replacements. This is why it is important to read and make sure you understand all the information I have
provided about the product before ordering. Though it is unlikely you will have
any issues with my discs as DVD-R is compatible with about 94% of all DVD
players, please
do a search on VideoHelp's web site to make sure your DVD player will be able to play
DVD-R before you order.
If you do have any problems with the discs or need a replacement, I'm always available to help out
and answer any questions you may have.
