Anyway, for those of you that don't know...I'm obsessed with the idea of the Grigori. So here's the story of them!
God sent down a group of 200 angels to watch over the humans. These angels were called the Grigori, or the "watchers". But, they saw that thedaughters of men were beatiful, and they fell in love. They stayed on Earth, thus "falling" from grace. The children they concived became known as the Niphlium. Some stories say these were half giants who roamed the Earth in anger and pain. Some say they were wicked creatures. Nonetheless, they created the evil that cause God to command that Noah build his ark...they were the reason for the Great Flood.
I love the story, but there's a problem with it...which I'm sure my friend Xav will agree with. I don't think the Niphlium were particularly evil or giant. I think they were half human, half angel. And I think that they were hated by both kinds because they were half. Too good for human, not good enough for angels. And you know how that kind of stuff works...someone convinced God that these Niphlium weren't good, and so he felt the need to destroy them.
He realized his mistake afterwards, and thus promised with a rainbow to never cause another Great Flood like that. But what happens when he breaks that promise???
Can anyone guess the common name for the Grigori??
