Hey there your probly wondering, what exactly is Ohio Vally Catfish Hunter's. Well we are a new club to 2006 and our main goal is to raise intrest to big trophy catfish. And we want to share what we have learned and ways we have developed whit you so you can maybe catch a trophy. We are open to any age anyone can join and have fun. April 23rd 2006 - Went Fishing Yesterday.
I decided to do some early spring bass fishing yesterday.. I chose a small side creek in to the river colose to me house.. And what a good choice it was.. Them bass were hitting up and down the creek. I started out using a 1/4 white and sliver rouster tail and every where i casted i was pulling in small white bass. I followed them up and down the creek for about 200 yards. and at point it was not a easy task. Towards then i had lost every rouster tail i had and was using a #2 green soft plastice larver which landed me 4 really nice strippers and a small large mouth. in total I cought 26 bass in 3 hours. which made for a really fun day.. So i point here is you don't always need to go after them monster fish to have a good time.. well see ya soon .. Happy Fishing

When your on the Hunt for spring cats no mater what body of water your on. Please Remember these tips. Look for shallow flats usualy 2 to 10 feet and close to a deep hole. And we all know them big flatheads like to hang out in coves and close to sunkin trees and logs. And remember to use heavy tackel..
