                                     Acolytes

Acolytes are an integral part of the worship service at St. Thomas.  Kids in grades 3 - 12 are invited and encouraged to participate.  Acolytes in grades 3-6 are trained as torch bearers and only serve at the 10:30a.m. Sunday service (10:00 a.m. during the summer.)  Once an acolyte has reached grade 7, she/he may train to be a crucifer and will be scheduled for either 8:00 a.m. or 10:30a.m. services.  After serving several years as a crucifer, acolytes are trained to be servers who also participate at both 8:00 a.m. and 10:30a.m.

Training generally is scheduled during the first few weeks of each school year.  Kids wishing to be acolytes should contact Jeannie Randall @881-0848 or by writing Jeannie.
