Tricks and Tips

This section is dedicated to all of the tricks and tips that you can do in matchmaking and may help you win. These are in no particular order.

CTF on Terminal: When you have the flag and are in the garage instead of going into it and up the ramp to the score thingy, hop onto to the car lift closest to the ghost spawn. Jump ontop of it and jump up at the score thingy. You'll score through the ceiling!!

CTF on Collossus: When you have the flag go under your base. Instead of walking above just jump up at the ceiling right below the score thingy. You'll score through the ceiling!!

Ever been in a double team game and your partner quits? Don't want to fight them? Well besides superbouncing here's a few good hiding spots for all of the small maps. This can also be done with the oddball or hide n' seek games.

Hiding on Ascension: Go to the big tower and go down on the o.s. ramp. Jump under the main ramp into the tower and land on the slanted part coming out from the wall. Then fall down into the mist and hug the side. Once your down there crouch under the the little wall. You'll stay crouched and it's very hard to see you. But don't go any farther your you'll hit a kill barrier. You can also do the same thing below the small tower. You'll need a banshee to get there though.

Hiding on Ivory Tower: Go to the o.s. walkway and face the air lift. Go to the ramp between the ramp and the fuel rod barrels. Turn to your right and jump down onto a small ledge. Then turn around and crouch under the walkway. You can also hide in many of the trees. Another hiding spot is right where rocket spawns. Another hiding spot is below shotgun spawn. There are slanted beams holding up the 2nd floor walkway. Get on them and crouch under the walkway.

Hiding on Turf: There are numerous hiding spots here. You can go ontop of the buildings by the medtent. It's the L-shaped section that you can use to get out of the level. Or you can hide in the little room with the windows by the medtent. Another hiding spot is back by the medtent and ontop of the blown up buildings. From there you can get onto the building and then ontop of the roof of the blown up building. You can also hide behind the boxes in the garage or go into the little porch of the building by the scarab. The one with the 2 wooden fences surrounding it.

Hiding on Elongation: For CTF games you can ambush the other team by crouching in the corner of the 2 boxes in the base. It's facing the corner of the level. You can also go into the box chute and back up into the corner. When the boxes fall down they'll land on your head, and you can still stand there. Another place no one looks is in the little corner with the fire pile.

Hiding on Lockout: Go to the sword spawn but the 2nd floor with the pistol. Go up the ramp leading to the br tower but turn around. Jump on top of the light over the door. Crouch there. You can also crouch on either side of the walkway that leads between the room below the glass and the air lift blue room.

Hiding on Foundation: The ever famous zombie hiding spot. Go into room 2 (I think ). The one with the ufo looking thingy with the 3 long grey barrel thingies. Jump ontop of the one that's standing upright and jump onto it. Then jump up into the little alcove by the ufo. Then jump up again onto the ufo's ledge. Crouch in there. Your virtually invisible.

CTF on Lockout: Take the flag towards the sniper tower. Jump onto the railing and then jump onto the light over the door. Jump again onto the landing, turn left and jump across the gap. Then jump onto the railing  and crouch jump onto the slanted spot and then walk up to the flag score thing. Piece of cake.

CTF on Relic: Not enough time to get the flag (or plant the bomb)? Well to keep the round at sudden death simply go up to the tower and jump. You'll keep it in sudden death. But you'll be visible on radar so the other team'll just hop down and kill you. More tips: Your first objective should be to open the teleporter. If the offense does then get the ghost and shove it into the teleporter alcove. Most of the time the teleporter will be blocked, preventing the other team from coming through.

CTF on Elongation: When the game starts grab the shotgun and crouch in the corner of the boxes that lean against the walkway. Then turn towards the flag. Most of the time your partner dies and the 2 enemies will come for the flag. Most of them don't look there and just grab the flag. Use your shotgun to make quick work of them. When you get the flag hop up the boxes and onto the walkway. Run and jump onto the middle 2nd floor. Go through the center and drop down. Run along the conveyor belt and hide behind the boxes. The c.b. will make you walk faster. Then score the flag.

Warthog Launching: Want to get a suprise attack on your enemies? Plant the bomb or get the flag faster? Well now you can. When you start an offense/defense game on Zanzibar and your the offense, then have one of your teamates grab a warthog. Have the person who will go into the base crouching forward against the wall piece that's in the sand. It's slanted and behind the seawall, left of the explosive barrels. Then have the warthog driver go the the water turn around and drive toward you. NOTE: Make sure the driver's handicap is on severe or else he will betray his teamate. Then when he rams you, you should fly to the opposite side of the map and near the back right corner of the base. A very useful tactic. Here is the video.

CTF or Assault on Terminal: Well we all know that the wraith on this level can be a pain so here's a really easy way to dispose of it. When on offense have someone immediatly get in the ghost. Boost to the wraith. Now the way the spawn's are set up the wraith driver should be just getting in, so they can't shoot or boost. Just hammer the wraith with your shots and the shields should go down some. Then it will just nail you with one bullet and you'll be gone. But the wraith driver is pretty hurt. That's why the warthog then comes from up above on the top street and over the train-tracks. A few hits with the guass will kill the wraith. Simple and very tactical. On the flip side, when you start out on defense hop out the window with the sticky's of the top room. Jump onto the tracks and then toss grenades on the road by the sniper and truck. If your lucky you can stick the hog or flip it over, letting you kill the 2 or 3 people in it. Then grab the sniper and run back to base.
