<:~:>Joining Information<:~:>

So you're thinking about taking on the life of a street dog, eh?

Well, this page contains all the information you need to know about joining and important information about the site.

Have fun!

First of all, you don't need an invisionfree username to be part of this RP, but it would make things easier for me, and probably for other members, too.  Near the top left corner of the board index, there will be a little "register" link.  All you have to do is click that and decide what name you want for your cat or dog, and sign up with that name.

You can either join as a dog or a cat.  Every so often, we will have a few human characters for people to play.  When you play a human, you can only be in the Cajax City area, and you want to try and adopt a dog or a cat.  The dog or cat will probably try to escape, but you can always go get another one, right? -__-;;; And you don't have to be nice. Though if you abuse an animal, and Bud or a nice huuman finds out, you will never be able to adopt, but might just be able to steal ^_~

If you are adopted, don't automatically try and attack the human. Humans can be nice sometimes. Once in a while, give them a chance. I would like it if some of you were happy in a human home.

On another not NO ONE is permitted to be a wolf, coyote, or any wild dog without special permission! While we are on the subject of don't's, No DOG can be larger than Kipcha, so keep your place

In order to join, all you have to do is scroll down to the Character Registry board.  Just fill out this form and post it on that page, and if we feel that you are permitable into the RP, you will be accepted!

Here's the form:

Your OOC name: (This is so we know what to call you on the OOC chat)

Your characters name: (...duh.)

Description of Your Character (specify if it is a cat, dog, human, gender, and breed): (Well, we gotta know what your character looks like, right? Make sure to give them some personality too!)

Side: (Good/Evil   ....Self explanitory.)

History (optional): (Just so we know what your character has been through)

Other: (Read the rules! :3

Example Post: (We need an example post so we know what to expect from you.  If you don't appear to be putting any effort into your post, then we will give you a few suggestions on how you can make it better, and then if you fix them, you'll be accepted.)

<:~:>Life and Death<:~:>

I'm sorry I have to bring this up, but cats and dogs do die.

So, here's some information on how you can prevent this from happening, and if it does, what will happen to your character.

 WHAT HAPPENS AFTER DEATH

Death happens.  It's a part of life.  ...Or rather, the end of life.

The character that has passed on will be judged and will either become a Demon or Angel, depending on how their given time was spent.

If a character becomes an Angel, it becomes invisible to human eyes, and to animals, is exactly the same as their previous form, save the fact that the main pelt color will have been bleached a bright white, and they will be decorated with a pair of feathery white wings and a golden halo.  After becoming an Angel, their feet do not touch the ground, but nor do they fly constantly.  When they are not flying, they are "floating", or rather suspended nine centimeters from the ground at all times.  After becoming an Angel, the character is granted a Life Blessing.  This Life Blessing CANNOT be used on themselves, or any of the person's other characters if there are any.  Angels cannot inflict damage upon live creatures.

If the character becomes a Demon, it is also invisible to human eyes, but to animals the demon is a transluscent shadow of their previous form.  It's eyes are a solid shade of red, green, or yellow.  That will also be determined by how their given time was spent.  Demons also have wings, though they are permanently grounded.  A Demon's wing is naturally demonic; black dragon-like wings with a larger wingspan than the Angel's.  If a character becomes a Demon, it is not granted any blessings, however, it can inflict damage to the living and can recieve none in return.

BLESSINGS IN THE AFTERLIFE

Blessings that were aquired during the creature's life carry over into the afterlife as an Angel or Demon.  This means that if a Demon had a Fly Blessing before it died, it will have the ability to fly.  Angels and Demons can become invisible, start fires, control the weather, etc.

This also means that if an Angel or Demon had either a Life or Death Blessing in it's living form, then it would still have it after dying.

CAUSES OF DEATH

Sadly, there are quite a few ways one can find themselves dead.  Here, I've taken the time to list them so that characters can be aware of the things to stay away from.

1. Disease

Yes, diseases and sicknessess do occansionally circulate around the Street Dogs Realm.  Kipcha and I are in charge of deciding when, where, and whom diseases and illnesses will infect.  Once a month, there will be a "Disease Day" where one member may be infected with an illness chosen by either Kippy and myself.  That dog or cat will be given the option to either spread the disease, or quarantine themselves and hope that it passes and does not spread.  We will make the final call as to whether the disease spreads and whether you live or not.  But keep in mind, you CAN come to a Rank and request a healing blessing, as both of the options risk your character dying.  You can also visit the vet's office, but Bud will put you up for adoption if you are healed successfully, and unless someone breaks your character out of the Pound, your character may end up living with a human as a pet.

2. Fatal Injuries

Fatal injuries can be aquired through an intense fight or accident.  Most often, if a character physically dies during the fight, it will be because of a special Blessing, or a severe bite to the throat.  But there may be instances when a dog is injured in a fight and finds that it cannot fend for itself on the Streets and may die of starvation or is taken advantage of by a stronger animal.  Starvation and accidents are controlled by the person playing the animal.  If you want your character to die of starvation then that is up to you.  You have the power to decide if you want your character to be emiciated and starved to death.  You also have controll over accidents, such as if you get bored and want to stir things up and you decide to try and walk across the thin ice on the lake when your dog is much too heavy to be supported by the thawing winters' glaze.  ...Though I must say that I would prefer if you not intentionally kill your character just so that he/she can become an invincible Demon.

3. Euthanization

If, perhaps, your character is halfway dead and Ranks are refusing your request for a Healing Blessing and you decide to risk the vet's office and all does not go well, your character may be euthanized.  Though Bud will always give you the option to be released back onto the Streets and die naturally or be euthanized.

WAYS TO AVOID DEATH

Well, there are only a few ways to avoid being killed or dying, but I will list them here.

-Avoid Fights-

Avoiding fights can prevent your character from suffering from fatal injuries inflicted by another Street Dog or Cat.

-Try A Rank-

Instead of going to the vet's and risking euthanization, request a Healing Blessing from a Rank first.

-Don't Commit Suicide-

...This is self explanitory.  Don't have your character run out into the middle of a busy street and then consequently get crushed under a sixteen-wheeler.

-Know Your Limits-

Okay, so you're bored and want to fight?  Great!  But you feel like challenging a Rank even though you have no blessings?  Well....just think twice.

Keep in mind that as an Angel or Demon, your character can also request a Life Blessing from a Rank and, if granted, will be restored to their original, untouched state.

I hope this information page helps you with whatever you needed to know about what happens when a character dies!

Ah, and I give credit to Kippy for the Angel/Demon idea.

<:~:>Claimable Territories<:~:>

There are claimable territoried in both the Forest and Dagave City. There are three ways you can become an alpha of a pack (NOTE: Ranks in claimables are not the same as Ranks of the site. you can't give away blessings)

1) If there isn't already an alpha, then just claim it.

2) Challenge for it. If the alpha doesn't respond in two weeks, then consider it yours

3) Fight for it. Self explanatory.
