  Strawberry Fields Farm

Welcome to Strawberry Fields Farm, a site to benefit abused, neglected and slaughterbound horses.

A Story of Abandonment

Below are some pictures of Cairo, an Arabian Gelding who was kept with another horse in a small paddock, usually without water and with nothing to eat but moldy hay.  He was very thin when he and his pasture mate broke through the one strand of barb wire holding them in and came here to the rescue on their own.   I have spoken to the man who owned them once when the first horse showed up but never again.  He knows the horses are here, passes by the farm every day and simply does not care.  They have been abandoned but are now being very well cared for and Cairo has gained his weight back and is doing much better.  Cairo is now ready to look for a new forever  home and his special person!

 How to Help

Donations will benefit abused, neglected and slaughterbound horses. We  accept tax deductible donations especially feed, hay, any equine medical supplies or tack.  Donations are accepted under the Equine Rescue and Protection Humane Society, a 501(c) (3) non profit organization. Strawberry Fields Farm is a rescue ranch for them.  Please also visit our news page for news and information about the fight against horse slaughter in America.  Thanks for visiting!

Check back often for pictures of more rescue horses looking for new homes on our Horses for adoption page!

Strawberry Fields Farm would like to thank some very special individuals for their support and help with the horses.  Renee and William at Treadwell and Sons Feed in Trenton, Tennesse,  Parelli student and trainer Michelle Pearson for her wonderful work with the rescue horses in getting them ready for new homes and the kindness and talent of farrier Frankie Carroll for taking such good care of the rescue horses feet.  Thank you all for your support!
