First Bulletin of 2009. First of all Happy New Year to all site readers and of course good luck to Matt Smith, as he prepares to take over from David Tennant as the Doctor. And of course we say in advance, thanks David, you'll be missed! Anyway the Resistence tale is now finished and I hope I can get some more regular contributions to this site through the year. I've made it a resolution to make sure this site gets maintained and updated more regularly. Anyway soon the next chapters of both Balance of Power and Time Switch shall be written up. July 9th First sorry this has taken so long but actually there have been updates, just I hadn't gotten round to posting the bulletins. Anyway another episode of Balance of Power has been posted as well as a new short story called Dreams and Deceptions by Davey. More to come soon! Oh and another part of the 3rd Doctor serial has also been posted during the interim. We are also a year old...Happy Birthday too us, Happy birthday too us....

Feb 25th: Virtual Murder is done and dusted and I will be working on both Time Switch and Balance of Power over the next few days. Updates may slow down as we are going on holiday next week for 5 days, unless I take the lap top with me!!
Feb 12th: Balance part 2 will be worked on as per part 1 as we go along. Ghost Chasers will however soon be deleted so a new serial can be written. Look out for a story called 'Time Swap' featuring the Third Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith. Also soon the next episode of Virtual Murder shall be done. Sorry this has slowed down a little, but free webs has been closed for maintenance. Now it's back so it's all hands back on the Helmic Regulator!!!

January 16th 2008. Part one of Balance of Power is finished and posted, remember this is just the beginning of this mini epic! ANOTHER serial will start soon for the good Doctor and that will be found either alongside or in place of Ghost Chasers. It's going to be a busy time, but like I said it's about time your patience was rewarded.
January 10th 2008: Episode three of X-Files, Virtual Murder is now posted. Next episode will be either the penultimate or final part of the tale. Balance of Power part one will be written up and concluded next week or over this weekend. Thanks for your support and patience! Onwards....
Yes December, in fact Christmas all ready and I know what you are thinking, no news, no updates but that's not quite true as Balance of Power is a work in progress and yes, part 1 will be finished soon. When that's done I shall focus on the X-Files tale, Virtual Murder and as a New Year's Resolution too myself on your behalf, I shall work on this site more and give you more on a more regular basis, time and luck willing.
So what's coming in '08? Well I'm not going to give too much away but how about these to hopefully wet the appetite:
All you need is Love: A tale set in the swinging sixties featuring the Tenth Doctor , Rose and Mickey.
Valhalla: A mystery in deep space for the 4th Doctor and Leela.
Eye of the Dragon another 'lost' tale from the printed version, and featuring the 5th Doctor, Nyssa, and Tegan. Set in feudal Japan.
And tales for: The X-files (yes another one), Star Trek: Voyager, and even an eerie story for Robin Hood! Oh yes, and a as yet, untitled story for Sapphire and Steel. Plus Games World stories based around the following, Dungeons and Dragons, White Wolf's Vampire and Werewolf, and sagas based on Hitman, Thief and wait for it, Halo!
Bare with me, I promise to get as much as this done as possible!!
October 4th 2007. Yes I know what you are thinking, an update and about bloody time! Well I agree, but bare with me folks as sometimes events take precedence and things get left behind. Anyway even as I say this, you can all see that Balance of Power is a work in progress and the complete first part will be posted as and when able. This tale would have been the next adventure in the printed version of this magazine all those years ago, before it went under. I wanted it to be a meaty tale back then as a) readers were saying nice stories, but they could do with more meat on the bones, and b) I wanted to give the readers of the mag and of this site the feeling that they were reading the equivalent of one of the epic tales that they gave us in the heady days of the Hartnell, Troughton and indeed, Pertwee eras. Stories like the Chase, Dalek Master Plan, War Games etc etc. So each episode will be fairly lengthy but the overall episode count could also be pretty high! Hope you appreciate the effort! And there is NO reason for me not to do the same with modern Doctors including Tennant and Eccleston.
Anyway bare with me and watch as Balance one goes on. And don't worry X-Files saga shall be finished and more shorts are coming! Thanks for your patience all of you, I just hope you feel it's all worth the wait.
August 22nd Hunter Hunted final episode is now posted and is ready for your reading pleasure (I hope!) And I am happy to announce that if you check the links too the left of this page, you will see a link entitled STRANGE CONVERSATIONS! This is our NEW FORUM PAGE! Hope it works, if it does you now have a place to comment and suggest improvements for the mag or indeed just talk about Who or sci fi, or gaming or whatever the hell you like! Onwards! The first episode of BALANCE OF POWER IS COMING! WATCH THIS SPACE!

August 7th 2007: The final episode of Ghost Chasers has been posted. The next Serial for the good Doctor, will feature the Doctor, Ben and Polly in a little tale entitled Balance of Power. The second episode of the X-Files serial will be posted soon. Also on it's way another Games World story, this time featuring a very different character and setting.......
I won't give anything away so watch this space!
July 27th, Part 4 of Hunter, Hunted has been posted, next episode the story comes too it's conclusion, not this time around as stated previously. The X-Files serial will be continued soon and so will, I promise, Ghost Chasers. Onwards!
July 20th: Bulletin! New games world story posted. Ghost Chasers part 6 will come next week (maybe earlier) and that will be the stories finale. It will be on the site for as long as I can keep it through space on the site, so watch out for Balance of Power when that starts on it's OWN page for now. The X-Files story as well as the Babylon 5 tale, will be continued and in the case of the latter story, concluded. Cheers!
July 15th Bulletin! Episode Five of Ghost Chasers has been posted now that the site editor is working again. X-Files part 2 should be up in the next couple of days as well. And another game worlds story is also coming. Watch this space!

Bulletin! May 31st 2007 and finally part four of the Doctor Who serial Ghost Chasers has been posted. I also have a submission for the first game world story that shall be posted shortly. My thanks to my friend and partner for her tale based on the world of Final Fantasy X. 'A Journey Begins' by S.A. Haynes will be available soon as will the next episode of the Babylon 5 tale.
Told you all that I would continue this, and well it's taken time I know, but it's a start, that's better than nothing!
Okay it's now April the 26th, 2007 and I know it's been some time since I've done anything with this site but now I know for sure that there are folks out there that care about this, and like this and want me to continue then that is what I shall do. Ghost Chasers shall get finished and so too will the Babylon 5 tale, Hunter Hunted. Also we have a new page entitled GAME WORLDS that will cover fiction based on table top fantasy/sci fi/horror rpg's.
And yes, I now have people that will give me a nudge in the ribs if I start to slack off!!! We are still here, we shall go on....
3rd December: Hunter, Hunted part 2 has been submitted. I forgot to say thanks too the guy from the Outpost Gallifrey forum's that inadvertantly gave me the idea for the tale. The next part of Ghostchasers should be posted soon and I've been assured that the X-Files tale is coming.
ITEM: This site will cater for ALL aspects of 'cult' television, so I'm happy to announce that I have been offered a piece of fiction involving the C.S.I. Vegas team! Can't wait to see how that pans out :-) (Apparently there will be a fantasy element too it)

In the good old days, there existed a magazine for fan fiction based on the world of Doctor Who. In sold well and indeed, even ran to reprint status. Time passed and for one reason or another, the magazine passed away with it. If it had survived, it would have expanded it's horizons, covering such programmes as Quantum Leap, Star Trek (in all of it's incarnations...almost as many as the Doctor's!) Babylon 5 etc etc.
That was then, this is now. With the advent of the web, the magazine can live again but this time with a world wide audience! And it can do some if not all of the things it was going to do!
Like Doctor Who, Strange Matters is back.....welcome aboard!
