---It's exciting and different, but i don't know about GREAT!

1. Could you explain to us how and where Emily was born? When was it?
- Emily was born on Planet Nine form Outer Space at 9:23 in the evening, then reborn in 1992 in Santa Cruz, CA in a garage under hot UV light and squeegee.
2. We've got an impression that Emily has a lot of secrets. What is a typical day of Emily like??
- The only secrets I can reveal at this time about the strange life of Emily are contained within the "Secret Book of Strange." Follow the symbols on the website and you might just get let in a bit more. . .
3. What are her favorite bands?
- Punk=Misfits, the Damned, Dead Kennedys, Toy Dolls, SubHumAns, the Clash, Social Distortion, X Ray Specs, Guitar Wolf, Lies. Others = Bauhaus, Thuja, Zappa, Joan Jett (runaways), Bride of Ozzy, Donnas, White Stripes, Buffalo Daughter, Fucking Champs.
p for myself in High School, as well as a way to be different rather than the same. Punk rock became a philosophy that I still stand close to today- to do things your own way no matter what others think.
4. Why is Emily's age setup 13 years old?
RR:
Well, secret is that Emily is really 12, and lies that she is 13 because she likes that number better.
BP:
Emily has a lot of secrets.
The age even an adult is not a child, either? Is she the existence which belongs nowhere?
RR:
this is a good way to put it. but it really to me is the age of a true underdog- but you are right, it is right at the time a little girl begins to grow up. I think that if someone her age can do all that Emily does, it makes it real for someone that age to start to think for themselves (at an early age), and not wait till they have been sucked into all the traps of society. At least it gives the impression it is not to early to open your mind and think for yourself - to "be all you can't be."
6. Please tell me about the development of the future works. For example, project to animate, etc.
RR:
There is soon to be her 2nd book out published by Chronicle Books, that Buzz and i worked on together-as well many other cool gift items from Chron too. we plan on releasing more music developed around Emily's theme- a compilation or at least more 7" inch singles, maybe more Emily stores- the one in Harajuku is off to a great start -the opening had a couple of hundred people and it has been very popular so far! Keep an eye on her website Emilystrange.com to get the latest in everything as it develops- a lot of great stuff- games, etc. are made specifically for the website exclusively- it is always changing.
Currently I am working on the story for an animated feature film- although it wont be the standard ordinary film of course...it is an Emily piece! I can't really say more than this, cause that would be letting the cat out of the bag!
