Prayers
Did you ever want to pray for someone or something but didn't know what to say? The following prayers are taken from The Book of Common Prayer.
For Peace : Eternal God, in whose perfect kingdom no sword is drawn but the sword of righteousness, no strength known but the strenghth of love: So mightly spread abroad your Spirit, that all peoples may be gathered under the banner of the Prince of Peace, as children of one Father; whom be dominion and glory, now and for ever. Amen.
For a Birthday: Eternal God, our times are in your hand: Look with favor, we pray, on your servant (persons name) as (persons name) begins another year. Grant that (name) may grow in wisdom and grace, and stengthen (name) trust in your goodness all the days of their life; through Jesus Christ out Lord. Amen.
For those we Love: Almighty God, we entrust all who are dear to us to thy never-failing care and love, for this life and the life to come, knowing that thou art doing for them better things than we can desire or pray for; through Jesus Christ out Lord. Amen.
